There are a total of 26 5A bands in Area H, so there could be a max of 5 bands advancing. Looking at past results, it could be assumed that there would be 21-22 bands at Area with 4 bands advancing to State.

Does anyone know when the schedule is going to be released? It's odd that schedules haven't been released yet.

Can parents help move props during a performance at BOA? I know they can at UIL but not sure of BOA contests. Can anyone help?

There was no "bad judging" at Area H. There wasn't a 3, 7, 3, 7, 3 ordinal for them. Leander was 4th out of 4 top notch groups which all deserved to advance. I think the biggest flaw with Area H is the alignment of regions. The regions that made up Area H do not have enough bands in them to make sure that there are 10 finalists and minimum of 4 advancing.

Some great bands @ Area D! So proud of everyone there! The finalists were stellar and well deserving of their finalists status. Great to see some new bands in the mix as well.

You're kidding about Austin, Right? They got a 212 in 2013 and have gotten straight 1's since. Also they were at the 5A State Marching Championships last year. No doubt they will be getting a 1st division tomorrow.

I can see Warren and Del Rio knocking Brandeis out of Finals. Both of those groups have been very strong this year.

Right now, every 6A in Region 32 and Region 11 must get a 1st division for there to be 20 bands in Prelims. If any band gets a 2 (possible in Region 11) then only 3 bands will advance to State. So that means, one of the Leander ISD 6A's or Westlake will be left at home. This is sad!

Actually no. TMC also announced MacArthur as 5A. Both TMC and Hornrank were incorrect.

Funny thing is, MacArthur is a 6A program, not 5A. They were 4th in 6A and LBJ should have been 3rd in 5A. I hope TMC corrects that and gives LBJ the trophy they deserve.

Judges would not have told directors that. LT was 6 points behind Reagan in prelims. Reagan would of had to have several malfunctions for anyone to beat them at TMC in finals (btw, their finals performance was better than prelims in my opinion). Yes, LT was second in prelims, .35 points ahead of Rouse and would have been 2nd or 3rd in finals.

Miculka didn't hire that O'Connor staff. The principal did. Miculka only recommends what candidates to interview (after his screening) but she made the ultimate decision.

AREA D - You need to remove Austin HS. They didn't advance to State. Only 5 advanced to state in 2016 from Area D.
