  1. If you consider a scraped knee a hard core injury, then yes. Chelsea shouldn't have been marching with her heart condition anyways. She's seriously lost like 60 or 70 lbs in the past year cus of how sick she's been. I just saw her outside of her house this morning, and she looked really pale and thin.
  2. I guaran-darn-tee you (like our director always says) that we'll try our hardest to make finals. After all, we were 3rd going into finals at area. I love our 4th mvmt at the tempo change. ahh, the first time we watched the video (even though it wasn't really that good of a performance of it) I got chills down my spine cus of the way the drill worked with the music.
  3. I'll have to second what Freeze said. I was 100% behind you guys, especially when you first beat Poteet this season, but it's becoming a little too much. I still think you guys are great, but yah... I'm sure you get where I'm going with this.
  4. Our show is called "BELLS!" It's just one song, broken up into 4 mvmts. It hits the musical highlights of Michael Daugherty's "Bells for Stokowski." and thank for the compliment. That was our first contest to perform mvmt. 4 at, so I think all of us were nervous about going over the time limit, because (performed at minimum tempos) our show is like 7 minutes and 30 seconds, and we always slow down or something weird happens.
  5. Trust me, we were too. =] Also, halfway through the day the terminator and I started texting, and when he threw his support behind us that also meant a lot. Thanks to everybody.
  6. hahah, that's awesome. I don't know exactly where we are. We were told that they go by area blocks and that in our area, we drew 3rd. I believe our director said it was about 3/4ths of the way through the day.
  7. Yah, I knew about that. While we were warming up yesterday for finals, you were performing, and I heard Lux and I started mentally humming along. That's the song on my myspace. =]
  8. that would work out nicely. =]
  9. You were actually one of the first people I thought of telling when we found out, but I didn't have any way to let you know.
  10. yay for a reunion of the Area B bands!!! hahaha. It will be a good benchmark. And hopefully I'll be able to see Sherman's show on Saturday. I have yet to actually see it.
  11. ahhh... I love the weather now. I heard it's like this in Northern California all the time. Maybe I should move up there.
  12. YAY! I love L.D. Bell's director! I met him at the HEB marching contest back in October. No matter how critical he is of us, his words will mean a lot to me.
  13. well some judge obviously did to have broken the tie to get you to state. sorry that comes off a little harsh, but yah, it's true. Anyways, you still have another shot to prove yourself to Azle, and it's the one that actually counts. =]
  14. wow, Shocking that Waxahachie didn't make finals. I remember seeing them 2 weeks ago at Little Elm and they were doing REALLY well. that's pretty insane.
  15. I can't recall exactly what it was, but ours were something like... 1+2+1+4+10= 18 (pre lims) and I'm clueless as to our finals score. but that judge that gave us 10th was on crack. 4th place is understandable, but a score that was 6 spots away from our lowest placement... that doesn't seem right.
  16. hmm... o well, not much you can do about it now. If it already happened and nobody did anything, then it must have been legal.
  17. I have a question for you. I noticed that you guys got dressed into your uniforms and pulled your instruments out for the prelims announcement... any particular reason why? I kinda just stood there a little on the confused side. oh yah. and good job!! hah, sorry almost left that out.
  18. true, but if nobody realized and somebody found out later, what would happen? would that cause them to be disqualified. That would be really awful.
  19. I was listening to somebody in our band practice the timpani etude. I really liked it. it sounds very cool.
  20. Very Close, but I was right. Area B ended up with 10 finalists.
  21. once they announced the first four bands I was standing there PRAYING that we didn't have to go after them. It would have just made EVERYTHING harder than it already was. I really liked what I saw of Joshua's show. It was really interesting, and took such a classical theme and made it very entertaining. I loved their little thing when they opened up their gloves and the palm of their hand's were orange! I actually jumped because it shocked me.
  22. yah, let's not get to egotistical here. Saturday will be a good preview of 4A state (or at least area B's part of it...). I'm excited!
  23. YAY FOR CONNALLY! I knew they could do it. =]
