Uhm, 172... and I think our drumline rushes it so we probably end up around 176 ish. no... we couldn't do 210. I (along with half of our band) would fall over dead halfway through the show.

No big deal. My parent's make mistakes all the time with that stuff, like once when we competed against Mckinney North and Mckinney high... they wrote the wrong schools in each others spots. =]

you know... this whole judging thing is making me think (and this is going to sound completely off and random...): What if the State Marching Contest was a T.V. Reality Series like American Idol? that'd be interesting. lol.

very true. Random upsets like that could completely change the way Bands are looked at in Texas. and it also makes for one interesting Finals competition.

mm, ok that explains a lot actually. What is more shocking to me is Joshua's results. two 9th's and a first? uhmmm...? Don't get me wrong, I really liked Joshua's show (from what I could see) but such a wide range is rather off. I actually wouldn't have given them 9th at all, probably 5th or 6th.

uhm... I give up. lol. And I"m actually rather nervous about the completely different panel of judges. That could change results A LOT. And that could also be really bad for some bands that won't make finals, because one of the prelim judges could knock out a band that one of the finals judges really favored in the top spots.

wow. that 5th judge really didn't like Sherman at finals. I also find it slightly humorous that we made changes to the show in order to impress the first judge. It obviously worked (went from getting 10th to 3rd) but in the process we lost all the other judges spots.

Have fun going up against Canton for that one! I remember at Little Elm walking by their band truck and how it basically said they were 3A State Champs/Honor Band since... well basically the beginning of time. haha. But with the way you guys did at Little Elm, I think you're in great shape to get up there as well.

Yes, making history in the process. Currently we have the title of the first Frisco band to make Honor Band finals and to go to the State marching competition. what else is in store? who knows...

Completely agree about Area B. Let's show the State what North Texas is capable of! I'm beginning to think that hiring Mike Gains as our drill writer really paid off. =]

First off, I'm actually working all day, but I just signed up for a random shift because Ms. Hartenberger told me to. When did we burst up out of nowhere? probably the start of the 3rd mvmt. when we had the giant bass drum hit w/ our horn pop. and State wise... I think Sherman has a VERY good chance. I'd also like to see Connally or Hendrickson take it this year.
