it's hard to ever compare with a band like Bell when our school district (well, I guess its just yours now) will never allow a school to get into the 5A category. You hafta have number like Bell to really compete like them. That's always a topic I was bitter about back in Frisco. Anyways, we're marching a new show Saturday "Get it On" and it's really catchy! We have our full show for State and I must say our opener is the coolest thing I think I've ever heard in my life. =]

marched my favorite show at state last year! oh, and I'm not that good, trust me. lol. EVERYBODY who wants to is allowed to join the Green Brigade, even non music majors. But since I'm currently a music ed major, I was required to join, although I probably would have anyways, cus I must say, The Green Brigade is the greatest thing I've ever done with my life. =]

I thought they moved up to 5A this year.....

They better make state so I can see them! lol. I loved them at state last year, and I'm really digging this whole slow motion idea. =]

I'm not sure. We went there my freshman year, the first year it was put on and there were only 8 bands there. lol. I know for a fact that Centennial will only be performing in Pre-lims.

Centennial is 3-1. They FINALLY have a winning season... the year AFTER I leave!!! lol. And I think UNT is 0-4 or 0-5? I'm not sure. lol.

Tell them that its a way to enhance your understanding of the world and it's a nice cultural enhancement. Will I be able to get out of my pep rally and go to my Hs homecoming Friday?

Because it takes FOREVER! Trust me. haha. But it's well worth it in the end when you've finished it all. Will my team actually win a game? I think we're 0-5?

OF COURSE I made it to the Wind Symphony concert!!!!!!!!!!! And they performed GODLY. It was sickening, yet overly impressive all at the same time. I didn't know that perfection of that level was possible... I was in love with the concert. lol. Yesterday we got one of the greatest compliments ever. The Green Brigade went to the UNT vs. Rice game in Houston, and after our half time show, we had ALL of their side on their feet cheering for us. =] After, we also had a man come up and say "That was by far the best musical performance EVER performed in this stadium. Thank You." Although, The Rice band was entertaining. They did a show based off of politics and the current political race, and I must say, I enjoyed it, and even their little jab at us. "Did you know that UNT has the largest music college in the nation? So next time you see a UNT college of music graduate, be sure to tip your waiter!" hahaha. It was creative for sure.

I know Centennial didn't. Only 4 of 5 mvmts. Those are very interesting results considering CHS beat Grapevine and Birdville at this contest last year...
