Actually, our marching band is mostly Non-Music Majors. I found that out today. I think when asked, only about 1/3 of the band was a music major of some sort. Anyways, you definitely have the stories of the hardcore-ness of the college down. I went in for my simple marching band audition today, and I was SHOCKED at how amazing the flutes were. I really felt like I sucked when I was there. I ended up First Chair, 2nd flute out of like... 30 or so flutes, so I faired pretty well in the end. But my old lesson teacher told me of how she had a Master's Student at UNT working on her PHD for Flute Performance at North Texas, and she got Last Chair, Last band. OUCH! That's why I'm not auditioning for a concert band. lol.

We played our first two movements of our show today! Our opener is freaking Bohemian Rhapsody!!! =] and our 2nd movement is challenging, considering we were expected to sight read it at tempo.

So I remember this one time when I met Chickora at our College Band's party, hung out with her while she was cleaning her dorm, and helped her to attempt to change the tire on her bike that had a hole in it, and had an interesting conversation about driving stick on our way back to campus from Whataburger. haha, And that's been just in the past two days.

SOoooooo... I remember that one time that this trumpet player from Dickinson called me a comedian when I was being dead serious... no joke, no lie. For serious. haha.

I also met my best friend that lives like 300.03 miles away from me (according to mapquest.com, hahaha.) He's super cool, and he is always there for me too, but despite his coolness, I'm way better, smarter and cooler. =] No but seriously, I don't think there's been a period for more than two days that we haven't talked for a long long time.

haha, it's okay. We bash our football team here at Centennial... heck, the football team bashes themselves... So no worries. =]

haha, yah... we went 1-9 in football last year... but we're 1323 on that list, and the only school from FISD listed... and we've only been around for 5 years. =] SOOO I say that THAT is a huge accomplishment.

they probably need it to be honest with you. I don't wanna put down my old high school, especially not the guard, cus they're my fav., but this year is big handicap year for them. We have about 40 registered girls, only 5 of which are returning members...

From what I hear our guard has been doing 2-a-days 4 days a week since like June... They may be pretty brutally amazing this year. =]

Well, whatever happens, I expect to see amazing shows out of you 5A kids at State! I'll be pulling for everybody just to do their best.
