  1. A lot can happen between Area and State, and Lebanon cleaned the heck up! Mckinney North's show is very hard to read from a UIL design wise, not 100%, but definitely more than some of the other shows here, and that could have and probably did hurt them some. Seeing the recap that was posted, it also seemed like certain bands, mainly musically had stronger musical performances yesterday than they did, but still a great season for them regardless!!
  2. All I've got to say is that the win could to Rouse or Cedar Park, because CP also just had their best run of the season. I mean WOW!!! Percussion was locked in, drill was super clean, huge sounds all around, that sax soloist in the ballad was just mind blowing, I mean I'm just blown away, I really think they are going to take it, could either way but I mean wow, that was amazing, great job Cedar Park!
  3. ROUSE HOUSE BABY!!!! Guys, I think today could be the day CP gets dethroned, their best run of the show BY FAR!! Everything was perfect!! Soloist were absolutely on point, such controlled and mature ensemble sounds, drill was super clean, just wow wow wow! They gave it their all, nothing more could have been better! Congratulations on an incredible season and awesome final performance Rouse!!!
  4. WOW BURLESON CENTENNIAL!!! Killer percussion as always! Huge sounds, amazing soloist and super cool drill! Guard was also fantastic! Love this show so so much, great job BC!!!
  5. Fantastic performance from Hendrickson!! Great soloist all around, really cool drill and guard was great, wonderful job Henny!
  6. Way to go Lone Star!!! Other than a couple musical errors, that run was INCREDIBLE!!! Guard is great, and that percussion is awesome as always!!! That sax solo during the "Tank" feature is sooo freaking good!!! Huge opening statement, really clean yet difficult drill, just a great and super entertaining show all around, great job Lone Star!!
  7. Wonderful performance from Richland!!! Loved the volcano prop, so cool! That trumpet soloist was killer. Drill was very clean and helped bring out the show theme so much, as well as the flute soloist! That ballad was so emotionally powerful! Really enjoyed that show, great job Richland!
  8. Great performance from Roma! Killer clarinet soloist! They have a really big sound for their size, and they sound really good! Really loved that percussion section, great sounds coming from them! Really interesting theme but they make it very easy to read, amazing job Roma!
  9. WOW Friendswood! First time seeing their show this year and I'm BLOWN away!!! Guard was AMAZING all throughout the show! That quartet was incredible, that clarinet was sooo good! Love the design and music of the show so much, very reminiscent of TW's 2019! Great sounds all around, brass is playing with such mature articulation and style, very much in love with that show, amazing job Friendswood!
  10. Incredible performance from Lebanon Trail to open up finals! Love the "River Flows Through You" pre-show!!! Plenty of showcasing of the different ensembles throughout the band as well as full ensemble moments! Guard was a treat to watch, and I love the different snowflakes we get to see throughout the show. Really enjoyed that performance, great final's performance Lebanon Trail!!!
  11. Good luck to everyone competing this afternoon!!! Cant wait to see these bands final performances of the season. This is the end of the line, so give it your all! No matter what the results end up being, y’all have accomplished something so many bands dream of, so be proud of yourself for getting this far. Special shoutouts to @clarinetistkai05& @tennertrumbow!!!
  12. Well ig now that it’s out…definitely surprised about MN’S placement. Maybe just a rough music run? Poteet placed very will which doesn’t surprise me, they had a really good run, but a bit surprised with Foster. I’d say other than that nothing to shocking….well okay area D did place a lot lower overall than i expected, Pieper did not place where I thought they would, maybe so first time nerve. But again, it just goes to show how much competitive tx is for MB
  13. Lets just say certain people have their ways of getting the scores early, but I can confirm these are the scores from prelims. But yeah some people have access to them either through connections or I'd imagine so people can get a "taste" of results, but yes these are the placements and total scores of prelims, scores won't become public till tomorrow after finals.
  14. Well, it seems Cedar Park won't be going down without a fight! I think the bottom half is scheduled really good, with Rouse and CP going back-to-back, Forney, and then Leander and Wakeland going back-to-back. We get what will most likely be the battle for first, and then the battle for second. Congrats @clarinetistkai05 on 5th, can't wait to watch yall's run tomorrow, will be a super exciting 5A finals comp!
  15. NO ALEDO?!?!?!?!? I'm actually so shocked.....hope the kids are okay, but it goes just to show how good Texas bands are. Congratulations to all our finalist!
  16. Okay but in all seriousness, I really think UNT has the best college marching band nation. Like, is there any other school that comes close to this? As a student in the Baylor marching band, I'm absolutely jaw-dropped each year by the sheer musical talent of their marching band. I was blown away getting to see them perform live at boa dfw in 21/22... I mean for a college marching band, they put out some seriously hard music books. amazing job UNT!!
  17. If UNT doesn't medal the system is rigged!!!
  18. Also, did anyone get to catch Richland? Saw like no post about them but want to know how they did. Also, WOW POTEET!! Got to catch them rq before I run to grab dinner before results and by GOODNESS what a show! That sax solo in the "Come together" part is KILLER! They really emphasize the "piece" part of the show, and I really love their music book this year. Great job Poteet!
  19. appreciate the apologies/clarification! We just don't want to publicly state on a website super popular in Texas that many kids from many different bands are on that we think they are bad or inferior to another program. All bands in Texas, and just in the US in general are all amazing, each bringing their own unique styles and taste to the marching band world, and we should always support them no matter how we feel about their show or whether they beat the band you or a friend/family member may be in. All these kids work so hard, and this site is a place where we can show our love, enthusiasm and appreciation for all the hard work they put in for us to be entertained by their amazing shows!
  20. Had to hop on for Wakeland, will be here for prelims results and all of finals tomorrow but wow was that good. Drill is just SO tight, and their music is amazing as always, can't wait to watch their final run tomorrow, great job Wakeland!
  21. @packwick have any new/finals thoughts going into this weekend regarding our #TeamTexas schools? I would of course love for one of our Tx bands to take home the Eagle, but Carmel and Avon are looking strong as ever, not to mention Blue Springs. I feel comfortable saying Hebron will take music and visual probably Avon/Carmel/TW's, but GE seems to be what's really up in the air, thoughts?
  22. Good luck to all the bands competing today!!
  23. Can't wait for the season to start!!! Last year was the first time I was able to really dive into WGI, both for guard and percussion and I'm so happy I did!! The Woodlands and Tarpon are the 2 I remember the most, that TS show was INCREDIBLE!!! Really wanted them to win, but Carmel was super clean. Can't wait for this season!
  24. Area is by far the most stressful for me, prelims and finals! Just such a dreadful contest imo, but really prelims are always the most stressful because you know, you either make finals and are happy or don’t and may be sad/disappointed. Finals is more of the fun one because bands may place higher than expected and everyone is happy for everyone with prelims being more self focused. Results are just stressful to sit through in general
