  1. 1. Cedar Park 2. Vandegrift 3. Rouse 4. Cedar Ridge 5. Vista Ridge 6. Westlake 7. Dripping Springs 8. Lake Travis 9. Leander 10. Round Rock 11. Westwood 12. Belton
  2. Bummer! I was really excited to see them here.
  3. Brandeis would probably not place in the high teens probably in the 20s.
  4. I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility for Thomas to take the AA caption at their first ever BOA regional.
  5. Bands only move if there is a classification mistake. Roma was 3A one season and then got down to 2A to pick up the class championship at San Antonio. I can’t remember which year.
  6. Edinburg here is pretty interesting to me. It’s forgotten now but Edinburg and Edinburg North were solid right-outside bubble bands for a very tiny sliver in time in the early 2000s. Wonder how they’ll do and if this signals for a new push into BOA.
  7. I really don’t see Johnson above RR, Bowie, Dripping Springs or Westlake.
  8. I don’t know why the Lone Star program has so many insistent students here but the truth is simple: Wakeland is vastly stronger and infinitely more likely to place higher than them at most every contest.
  9. Color me curious. Indulge us in the long story?
  10. They were at SA a few years back. Small A Class band. Good sound, great group. They are the only A group here I think. Not quite finals level, but they put out some good sound.
  11. It is the only one to have impacted me this season other than Blue Devils. It is just stunning. It feels like the closest any of the "old school" corps has gotten to really nailing down and emulating their essence.
  12. I love this Phantom Regiment show! Anyone else?
  13. I'd maybe put Westlake ahead of McNeil. I think it's likely McNeil pulls ahead by San Antonio and state but they seem to be slow starters.
  14. I like the sound of this one…
  15. Talk about a good idea, word on the street is this regional is completely full?
  16. McNeil stays in finals and advances to state.
  17. Another cookie cutter show from Prosper….
  18. Duncanville stands as one of the most unique programs in Texas history. It’s good to hear they’re alright.
  19. Brandeis has fallen back a little recently but the two bands I’ve had my eyes on are O’Connor and Stevens. I think if they landed the right director there could be a lot of great movement there.
  20. I agree but the earlier claim that the contest probably won’t be affected was silly. Obviously something is going to happen.
  21. The wind is that the band is transitioning to being a show band. That won’t affect it?
  22. Given the recent situation with Duncanville’s Director and the districts position on fine arts is this contest still going to happen?
  23. They’ve always been real solid at UIL. I’m hoping they get to the status of the upper 5A’s that prove themselves amongst a sea of 6A (Leander, Wakeland, Waxahachie before the bump)
  24. This is the proving grounds for Colleyville’s big comeback! They were a pretty consistent bubble band wayyyyy back so it’d be nice to see them in the mix with the 5A bubble again.
  25. I also don’t see the issue with D5 as much as others on this forum. It’s kept out genuinely finals-level competent groups and a complete disqualification from the state track because of an early season timing penalty is absurdly harsh.
