I forgot to add Creekview 2004 and Richland 2007. Those 2 have deeply moved me just from the sheer amount of difficult drill design. Heck, Creekview's closer still remains as one of my favorites, and then Richland, oh Richland with that insane part 1 ending. 

I just wanted to say on here that Anahuac MS Honors Band was named the 2024 TMEA 1C Honor Band! This marks the first time in a long time that a band (MS & HS) from Southeast Texas received that honor. Super proud of them! and I liked to congratulate the Mauriceville MS Symphonic Band for reaching Class 1C Finals!

Gatesville High School's (4A) 2023 Show is titled "Eye See"
It is broken up into four parts, and features the music:

Celestial Night: Maestoso - Agitato by Richard Danielpour
I See the Light from Disney Pixar's Tangled by Alan Menken and
Joy from Awakening by Joseph Curiale
 
'Eye See' features an Alto Saxophone solo, a Baritone and Flute Duet, a Colorguard Solo, a Colorguard Duet, and for the second year in a row, the Gatesville Fightin' Hornet Band will be including the Gatesville Dazzlers (Drill Team) in their show.
There are projected to be about 80 Performers and one Drum Major in this year's show.

Multiple discussions today with MFA/BOA. they have approved us moving forward to design the trophy. Our current design plan is to have a wood base similar to the Kevin Trophy but slightly smaller in height and width. instead of the eagle, we are working on a the northern Mockingbird on a branch of blue bonnets - this captures the state bird and state flower while also paying respect to the CTJ namesake "Lady Bird" Johnson. In many ways it will be like the Grand National Trophy but shorter and the bird will be smaller than the eagle. it is not our intent to upstage the Grand National Trophy. Once the design is completed, we will submit it for final review and produce the trophy to be presented in November in the dome.

Its between 30 - 32 for regular regionals I believe.

After some insane results last year with North Lamar placing 3rd in Prelims and then LCM placing 10th in Finals, I wonder what this upcoming 4A Area Contest could bring. Feel free to express what you think.
