That would be a neat thing to see. 7 or 8 bands all from just 1 state. Crazy to think that it COULD happen this fall. Regardless, GNats 2023 is going to be a slaughterfest for sure.

Good thing I rewatched it one last time. They took the video down. It seems they upped their game BIG time this year, as I saw so many impressive tosses from start to finish. I am very happy that they are returning to Dayton in April. We could be seeing a possible top 10 finish in Scholastic A. Has a Middle School ever been promoted to Open Class before? And is that even possible?

I predicted early on in the season that Sulphur Springs was not even going to make State. The fact that they finished 1st in Area Prelims, 2nd in Area Finals, 5th in State Prelims, and then 4th in State Finals exceeded my expectations from that group.

Pecos uses Contras. Let me think about any other bands that uses them.

Sulphur Springs, Davenport, Floresville, West Plains, and of course Celina. All 5 of these bands really did surprise me and I am excited to see how they will fare in the upcoming years.

13th out of like 206 bands in 4A is still very good!

Southlake Carroll was 22nd in prelims, jumped up to 11th in semis, then to 7th in finals. WOW
