They fully earned their final spot with an extremely complex and well-designed show, and their students achieved a lot on the field and had the run of their lives.

To Churchill - so sorry you are not in finals! I was in the stadium pulling for you both performances. You guys did well and I'm proud of you! You represented Texas well!

I did not see Dobyns-Bennett getting into finals over Homestead or O'Fallon! Hats off to them!

I think it is more difficult to make finals at SA than it is at Nationals this year.  

It's crazy to me how good Round Rock is and yet that show wasn't enough to make finals in SA. Insanity...

Personally, I think Waxahachie is one of the most underrated bands in Texas.

I was at a competition once with our pretty large congregated group. I had been speaking to a parent in front of me from another band about their group, kids, etc. So our kids enter the field and I tell him "I'm really sorry we're about to yell our chant it going to be very loud but I won't yell in your ear!" He said that's great asked what we yell and I told him. He stood up and yelled with us. Competition doesn't have to be divisive. This is about teaching kids many things beyond music.

I have tons to say which I will attempt to get through on tonight's recording.  I will simply say that I am beyond thankful for this community.  You people are so darn awesome.

At this point, a tie for 14th place would be the best case scenario.

I can not agree more!! Richland has had some rough years recently and they have been doing so well these past 2 seasons! Awesome work Richland!

Hahaha! Yes, it was called Ascend. I am so impressed with their improvements since 2014 when no one really expected them to be good. Loved last years show.

Part of thier show seemed sooooo familiar and then I realized that they used almost the exact arrangement in “Signs” that Keller had last year. Even down to the soloists and electronic and percussion sounds.

I would be shocked to see Keller not make finals. People seem to forget that they placed 9th in prelims last year. Also, however not boa, they placed 5th at State which just shows the powerhouse they have become since their trip to Nats.
