Welcome BOA newcomer William J Brennan! This band is in the NISD out of San Antonio and will be making their BOA debut in McAllen and Midland this fall.

Just added another San Antonio NISD band to the mix! William J. Brennan HS will be making their BOA debut at McAllen this fall. They also have plans to attend the Midland regional. Best wishes to the Brennan HS Band!

I love it when people revive old topics. ? This was a good one too. I’m reading all the old posts in it from 2010 and it’s really fascinating how much some things have changed in the past decade and how much other things have stayed the same!

That’s mind boggling to me. All in one day?!!

There are some pretty awesome 5A bands from other districts on the rise as well. It will be an exciting UIL season for sure!

Wills Point HS in Texas is not attending this contest. We are now sending 7 bands to GN.

I wish I could just stay in San Antonio for two weeks but I’m headed to Indy for GN. Guess I’ll have to catch it on Box5TV.

I still can’t believe that there are contests this fall for EVERY single class in UIL! What a year. The 6A state marching contest will be held in the Alamodome on Monday, November 8 with prelims lasting all day long followed by finals on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 9. As a reminder, the 2A class bands will have prelims the morning of Tuesday the 9th with finals being held that evening after the completion of the 6A class. The 4A class competition is to be held all day on Wednesday, November 10.

As of right now, 3 bands are no longer planning on attending this contest. Creekview, Berkner and Mansfield are out and the total is now 23. When will we hear from the big 3 and when will BOA put out their official lists of participating bands for each contest? Enquiring minds want to know!

Brandeis is the first addition we’ve had here since April 27th. Definitely need to see more bands going to this contest! Will we see Del Rio, Economedes, Edinburg, Edinburg North, Gladys Porter, Hidalgo, James Pace, Juarez-Lincoln, Klein Collins, McAllen, McAllen Memorial, Mission, Nikki Rowe, Pioneer, Rio Grande City, Roma, San Benito, Sharyland or Valley View here? ??‍♀️ They’re all just rumors for now.

Just added two more bands to this competition. Nice to see Waco BOA filling up!

Happy to see O’Fallon (IL) added to this and the St Louis contests today. Wonder if they’ll march on a tarp this year…
