Very unlikely the fall hurt them at all. He or she recovered very well and very fast. You'd be surprised how little effect someone falling has on a shows score.

Someone posted all the flomarching videos of finalists from San Antonio. The visual feed isn't bad but the mic placement has to be the worst I've ever heard. It's as if they put them two inches from the pit speakers at every performance :/ Hopefully the same won't be true of grand nationals

Leander's 6th place finish in pre lims is largely attributed to them getting 9th and 11th in music GE which is a head scratcher to me. Also vandegrift got 1st from both music GE judges so there is where the leander vandy flip flop happened

I think leander has a great chance at a medal and the eagle if they keep improving up to the last minute. CTJ could definitely medal and is a sure top 5 in my book. The biggest national wild card to me is William Mason, we've heard nothing from them for over a month.

Wow, what a contest. Every band in finals was just phenomenal. We've seen some really good San Antonio finals over the years but this one was really impressive. Reminded me of 2013 when things were crazy close from top to bottom. A few comments on finals. Obviously this biggest surprise was Reagan And the woodlands completely swapping placements with each other from what everyone predicted. I didn't see that coming at all even after watching them both but congrats to the woodlands on a crazy late season surge. Leander is really peaking with this show at just the right time, I expect big things from them in Indy. Same goes for CTJ who cleaned that show up nicer than I think any other band would be able to do. geez that thing is so hard both musically and visually. I definitely feel like the scores were low balled quite a bit here. But that also seems to have been the case at San Antonio ever since 2013. No one has ever scored above a 93.5 since 2012 and I'm not entirely sure on the reason though I think I understand what it could be. I completely expect all the grand nationals bound bands scores to inflate pretty drastically come next weekend.

Well I've seen Reagan live now and i gotta say i still feel mostly the same. The show is fantastic don't misunderstand me, but I just don't get the same level of raw excitement from it like I did from flower mound and leander. That being said again it's a beautiful beautiful show that is performed at an incredible level.

The numbers are different in uil and BOA in uil leander is only 6A by less than 50 people

According to the live blog it was phenomenal, can't wait to catch them finals tomorrow night.

I'm definitely a much bigger fan of every(one) from last year though this is Reagan's second best show in many years imo

Personally I think ctjs 5th place finish was due in large part to them being dirtier than normal (targeting grand nats) and it being a uil contest where the smallest amount of dirt can kill you regardless of difficulty.

I gotta say after seeing a quality video of Reagan I just don't see then winning San Antonio or nationals honestly. Don't get me wrong they march and play great but I find myself agreeing with others that have said its too much singing not enough full ensemble playing. The show feels like a musical to me not a marching show.

Ok so the contest is only three days away so I'm gonna try my best at final predictions. Next to teach band will be the highest and lowest placement I could believably see them in. 1.Flowermound (highest 1st, lowest 3rd) 2.Leander (highest 1st, lowest 3rd) 3.Reagan (highest 1st, lowest 3rd) 4.CTJ (highest 4th, lowest 6th) 5.Vandegrift(highest 4th, lowest 7th) 6.Cedar Park(highest 4th, lowest 8th) 7.Hebron(highest 5th, lowest 8th) 8.Marcus(highest 6th, lowest 8th) 9.Woodlands(highest 7th, lowest 10th) 10.Round Rock(highest 8th, lowest 11th) 11.LD Bell( highest 9th, lowest 12th) 12.Hendrickson(highest 10th, lowest 13th) 13.Vista Ridge(highest 12, lowest 14th) 14.Keller(highest 12th, lowest 14th) Music: could see going to flower mound, Reagan, vandegrift, or even leander with a knockout run like 14. Visual: flower mound and Reagan are both very clean so either could take it, however both ctj and Leander have incredible amounts of choreography and difficult drill so they may take this caption much like ctj in 14. GE: flower mound, leander, or Reagan. All three have fantastically designed shows in my opinion and a great performance could give any one of them the GE caption. Whew that was ROUGH, so many great bands. I do not envy the judges here one bit.
