  1. PDF files. I thought it would be a simple copy and paste. Not so much. They should be available soon anyway. Just trying to help.
  2. Got my hands on the prelim and finals results. Can't figure out how to post them on this sight though. I thought it would be simple, maybe it is. Any help would be appreciated without the condescending "duh" added.
  3. Fair enough. Actually that tied in music. 2 1 2 for Marcus and 1 3 1 for Hebron. Final scores 7 and 9. It will be close this weekend.
  4. Matthew6655 can you explain the "landslide" comment? What are you basing that on? Both bands are great but if you have some info please share.
  5. That is why I asked. I just can't see one that much better then the other in music. From what I saw they were even. Both spectacular music wise. The word landslide just caught my attention. Just can't see that.
  6. I am curious how you know it was a "landslide" in music? Do you have the scores? Not doubting it just surprised it would be a "landslide". I thought Hebron's music was much more difficult and better executed in finals then Marcus's was. Both were awesome!!
  7. I am confused as to why I can find almost all of the scores from all of the other areas but not area B. Anybody else having any luck finding area B results??
  8. Where did you find the score sheets? I can't find them. Thx
  9. LOL!,!! You may want to double check your "sources." I highly doubt any DFW area band is flying to SA. I am pretty sure Hebron will load up the busses after the game just like everyone else.
  10. Thanks for the clarification. Go Region 5!!!!!! 1's across the board I hope......
  11. So if I am reading this right area B 6A can only have 19 bands at best compete next week? So does that mean only 3 go through as posted earlier? Is below 20 the line between 3 and 4 bands going through? Talk about a competitive area. If we assume Hebrom and Marcus take 2 spots.that third spot is is going to be a battle. A great band or two may not make state because of numbers.
  12. Awesome recap!!!! Being a DFW homer I'm curious on your thought on your next four bands. Flomo has a great show. Well designed! Beautiful music. If the tighten it up they may may a splash in SA and Indy. Bell also has a great show just not as grandiose(?) as usual. I like that the music is more focused. The flag work in the closer is mesmerizing. Can't wait to see where that show ends up. I am familiar with Round Rock from their incredible run last year and before. I am not familiar with Leandar and think I should be as I am hearing great things about their program. If you have time I would love to hear your thought on the above bands. San Antonio is going to be incredible!!! Thanks for posting your thoughts! Great stuff!!
  13. AWESOME!!! The Beauty about Texas marching bands right now is it is no longer a race for who will come in second. It would be awesom if Marcus takes their 5th state championship. They are awesome and have a great program. How cool would that be? A decade of dominance? How great is it that any of the top BOA champs could have the best run of their lives and take this thing? CJT, Woodlands, Leander, Bowie, Hebron, Marcus? That is just 6 bands. Any one of them can take both state and/or BOA. Add the next two in all of those competitions and things get crazy. I agree, both state and Boa are up for grabs. What a great time in Texas marching bands. Good luck to all of them!!!! At this point it doesn't matter who wins. They are all great!!! They all win........ Wow, wow, wow......
  14. Anyone know how prelims went? Currently out of town and trying to check in. Any updates would be greatly appreciated. Hope the weather held out.
  15. Wow! Just viewed the video you are referring to. I agree they look and sound great. Could end up being a Nix masterpiece. Music and GE loaded. The visual is the show itself. It's possible they may sweep captions. I think they were second in Denton finals in visual by .10 to Bell but I could be wrong. Can't wait to see Conroe vid's. And to see all these bands in SA!! It's gonna be crazy!!!!! Marcus, Hebron, Flomo, Bell, Coppell, Woodlands, Bowie, CTJ, Reagan, Leander. The list goes on. Just making finals will be a task. So many great bands, so few spots. Wow!!!!
  16. I was on the fence until I saw Marcus and Hebron play back to back in finals. I thought both shows were great. I thought Hebron sounded better and their show just flows so well. They should have another great run this season. Marcus sounded great as well and the props are wonderful. It is early so both bands will only get better. They will be very close come November. Flower Mounds show was one of my favorites of the evening. Beatiful color and music. If they tighten up that show they will also be a contender both in SA and Grand nats. LD Bell show is beatiful visually as always. I think they are focusing more on the music and that should pay off. They sounded great. Coppell showed another side of them. They still had the awesome controlled blow your hair back moments but they featured the winds more then usual and they were very effective. It is early. Come November it's going to be a dog fight in the Alamodome. I thought last year was incredible but this year my be even better.
  17. Thank goodness. We can't have a Texas regional without both Dan's blogging. Thanks for all you do. Looking forward to the competition tomorrow and your insights.
  18. Heck I wouldn't count Marcus out of anything music related. State year or not. I think they are a big reason why Texas bands are so great. They have all wanted to beat Marcus for the past decade. And to beat Marcus.....well let's just say you can't rely on luck. Looking forward to seeing their whole show on Saturday.
  19. I agree but you could say that for any band. It will be an interesting regional. It truly is anyone's competition to win. I hope all bands bring it hard on Saturday!!! We shall see........
  20. It will be a battle. Hebron will be tough. They will place high just not sure how high. Marcus sounds great as usual. Bell may or may not need more time. I think we will see some surprises at this regional. Coppell, Haltom, Berkner, Wakeland, Richland and Flower Mound may make some noise there. I am looking forward to seeing all of these bands compete for the first time this year. The other bands I don't know very well. I am looking forward to seeing it. Good luck to all of the bands competing next week!!!!!!
  21. The beauty of these forums is we all love marching bands and can agree to disagree. I think you have some very insightful views and look forward to your posts. I happened to disagree with your comment on last years Dallas regional. I meant no offense. I will not comment on your posts moving forward. Thanks for your feedback. There is no indignation. I will look up the results of San Antonio. I seem to recall Hebron ending up doing well but I'll double check. Thx Go Woodlands!!!!!!!!!
  22. Lol! #bandcrushwoodlandsmuch? Not sure who should be more insulted: Hebron for winning (even though they had no competition or "weaker competition") Or EVERY OTHER BAND who competed. Even though they were weaker competition . Never thought I'd see the day that Marcus and Bell fell under the category of "weaker competition". Not to mention the other bands in the area. I am still chuckling. If the woodlands isn't at a competition there is no competition.....? And to be clear I think the Woodlands are awesome and think they will do very well again this year!
  23. I will be there watching the football game. Nix has some good videos on YouTube of hebron. They look and sound great. Marcus has been radio silent as usual. Looking forward to seeing them play Friday. I think it is homecoming for Hebron. Only a couple weeks until Denton. Anyone seen LD Bell yet? That is my next weekend mission if they are playing close by. Flomo anyone? Haven't seen anything good video wise on them but am hearing great things from some friends of mine. They should have a breakout year. Didn't know you were a LISD homer xenon.
  24. I think the question was "what if" some year Texas, as a state, decided to send all of the finalist from SA to GN. Not talking about this year, it's done, Texas did great!!!! 10 or 12 bands from Texas showing up would be cool!!!!!
