These are some bold predictions haha. I personally don’t see Bell at the top, but I will say they are likely to be in the top 3-4. I do agree they will have a stronger season compared to recent years.

no LITERALLY and UNIRONICALLY these are goated whenever I sift through youtube for band videos, I always love the ipad/iphone recordings from a good spot. I feel like their recording quality is awesome, and seeing people react is always fun

Yeah! I always forgot one or two, you think you know them all and then there’s always one more 😅 Ig we could say RR 21, didn’t make finals but still did all 3 which is enough on its own, seems like they will be this year as well, and whoever else does

I was more referring to the quality of equipment, I should've been more specific 😅 They had multiple large cameras, moveable rigs, the whole nine yards. They just utilized like they had opened them up the day before.

You have to remember that September 23rd is historically very early in the marching season. A lot of programs in the DFW area (especially the bigger ones) probably wouldn't be ready to start competition until the next week. Also, two additional competitions are scheduled within the same vicinity that day. Melissa (to be fair they completely booked that competition) mostly consists of smaller bands that wouldn't draw in much in terms of attendance and concession sales, but LE still misses out on the registration fee. I suspect many of the bigger programs that choose to compete this early elected for the Golden Triangle Classic, possibly due to a lower registration fee or easier access (LE's stadium is 20 minutes off of the DNT).

welp, we have your 2023 Melissa Marching showcase champion right there lol, let me just change my preds real quick. Do you know why Little Elm was cancelled? Ik historically it wasn't always the most stacked comp but it still tended to draw in some really good bands like Lone Star, Centennial, MN last year. maybe just not enough people singed up for it to be reasonable to have the comp.
