MAN pasadena memorial has a lot on the field regarding choreo already, their sound is big and although it needs cleaning i can see it posing a threat already. One thing i can say though is that it is noticeable that shadows are in and from what i can tell it is ruining the cleanliness of the show a fair bit, but once they’re out and it gets cleaned, i could see this being a genuine threat And shadow creek is not falling behind either, their opener is looking REALLY good for it being this early in the season, they also project quite well and im very excited to see how they place among the rest this year

Can I just say Stratford has showed some IMPROVEMENT?

Okay, I also for one don't want to hear the metronome but I understand why it's being used. It's the first week of the football season and some bands have only had the full band together for 2-3 weeks. Most bands last night probably only did movement 1 and/or 2. Also, you can image some of these kids marching are Freshman and probably nervous. Give bands a week or two and you will see the metronome's disappear.

It’s actually very common for early season performances.

Ive seen some of the intros this year, and I dont want to make a prediction, so Im going to say something I like about each group so far Hebron: Visually and musically much more interesting than the past 2 years, feels very fun and lighthearted even in the more intense moments, VERY HIGH demand in the drill. Flowermound: Very similar to last year, going to be an extremely strong year for them and will probably win visual. Marcus: Holy percussion, and very entertaining music all around. McKinney Boyd: Definitely their strongest start ever, visually engaging and musically more intense, feel confident with my earlier prediction of 5-7. Wylie East: I like this show theme and execution much more than last year, brass have a strong book. McKinney High: Only saw visuals, but was a step up from last year, music being from one source could go well or poorly for them. Denton Guyer: Really liked the music, I dont keep up with them much but they look and sound pretty good. Little Elm: Really entertaining show and a major step up in content all around, could maybe see them in finals in the 9-10 slot. Plano Sr: I like the visuals this year a lot, and could definitely move up some spots in WW and percussion

PM: Wow that low brass is beefy. Great opening hit that brass has gotten a lot better since last year. Pretty nice brass feature. Good stuff from the woodwinds. Amazing Job PM. Shadow Creek: Yes Shadow Creek YES! My goodness that’s a great show right there. Some individual visual things but everyone is having those. Overall amazing Job for Shadow Creek.

One of my favorite programs in this area

I saw a private vid of Cypress Woods and they sound INCREDIBLE this year. The technical passages sound very clear for this early in the season and the brass is STRONG while also maintaining a great tone. Visually is pretty good, just some dirt here and there that will be cleaned up. I really hope they keep it up because I really think they could have a historic season!

Saw Hebron tonight. They performed up to the ballad I think. Didn’t catch the show title, but they played three pieces; Magical Mystery Tour as the opener, then one I didn’t recognize, then The Abyss by silvestri.

I went to see Ceader Park at their foot ball game and maaaaannnn they still got it. It’s honestly a really cool show and concept, really made me feel like I’m in a forest.

Only saw Hebron on stream tonight which is fantastic, but I really wanted to see Flower Mound.

I feel like they’ve been on the verge for years. They definitely could make it this year, although I do feel like this a bit random.

I’ve heard LCs version of malagueña and it has a really cool double tongue brass feature, knowing them i think it’s gonna turn out great.

Honestly, this is the realist thing I have seen on this website. I think some of your points about fandom and bias are really good. The other thing that I saw was that this real was someone said the people predicting this early are basing it on just reputation and last years scorces.

I would hope so. Having that 8th spot could really do this Area some good since there are just so many state-quality bands in Area C.
