2022 2A, 4A, & 6A SMBC (November 7-9)

Well it is almost that time again! On Saturday, we will be seeing who will represent their Area's at the 2022 State Marching contest! This is the third year in a row that we are seeing 2A, 4A, and 6A, so it will be interesting to see how these bands do!

Below is a Google Spreadsheet that will have information for the upcoming State contest, as well as the State Military Contest!-

This is a great resource! Thanks for sharing. I think 14 bands advance to finals for 6a SMBC since there are 42 bands in prelims.

Reading through the area threads and seeing all the super positive comments about all the bands throughout all the competitive levels (state qualifying programs, area finals qualifying programs and area qualifying programs) is so exciting!! Reading so many comments like “_____ band is the best they’ve ever been!” And “_____ band came to play this morning!!” Is so encouraging for the future of texas bands! Not to mention this state marching contest will feature the absolute highest quality of marching band!

2A: Sundown, Panhandle, Santo, Honey Grove, Tenaha, Rivercrest, Clarksville, Shiner, Harper, Valley Mills

4A: West Plains, Calallen, Canton, Anna, Celina, Kaufman, North Lamar, Sulphur Springs, Burnet, Springtown, China Spring

6A: Permian, Coppell, Waxahachie, Keller, Hebron, Flower Mound, Marcus, CTJ, Reagan, Cedar Ridge, Pearland, Woodlands, College Park, Alexander, Vista Ridge, Vandegrift, Westlake, Cy Fair, Seven Lakes, Bridgeland

Also, 2A will only have 7 in finals. So out of those 2A Bands, who do you think will advance?

I believe Panhandle, Sundown, Tenaha, Rivercrest, Shiner, Harper, and Valley Mills will be the top 7, I don’t have a definite order right now.
