That would help the RRISD and LISD schools, but that's pretty out of the way for Westlake and Dripping Springs and Bowie tomorrow morning (since I doubt 35 will be open then). Word from BOA staff is that they are finding Saturday spots for each of the bands that are still trying to come down. Those bands are drawing for which spot they get. Are they redrawing all of Saturday's prelims, or just creating a few new spots and drawing for those? I don't see how redrawing all of Saturday could work, especially for those bands whose schedules are based tightly around their original performance times. Not sure where the others are, probably skipping judges breaks for them. but sources seem to claim that while 7 bands couldn't make it today, only 5 are being drawn for, leaving 2 completely screwed. Austin is expected to get at least another couple of inches of rain over night and roads are still closed. The bands who go before, say 11, will face the exact same travel issues when they try to get to Austin. Additionally, some are scheduled to come to San Antonio tonight, which obviously won't work either, as they'll be in the thick of the storm systems passing through.
