With the 6A state prelims schedule posted, do we know which of the area F state qualifiers gets to go first at state? I remember 2018 when The Woodlands had that spot, hoping it doesn't happen for them again.

Someone in Area F will get the very first slot at 8:30am. Ugh. Most everyone else is later 1:45, 3:00, 4:15pm. Two very late slots at 7:15 and 8:30pm.

Yeah, they usually do it by random draw of the finishing position. I heard through the grapevine in 2018 that area F 1st place got slot #1 at state. So I guess it hasn't leaked yet for this year or no one is forthcoming with the info.

If Klein Oak makes State then they'll probably get the early slot because that's been their MO the last two years. lol

North Shore - Great show! I have not seen them in a few years! That run should easily put them in finals. Some really nice brass work!!

Aldine HS has reportedly been disqualified. Rumors say there was a failing student that flew under the radar that performed at the region contest.

If they're not wired connection, it's 100% because the wireless at Woodforest Bank is not so good

Whew!  Anyone else getting Bluecoats vibes from that Woodlands show?  Non-stop playing and moving at 180 bpm?  That was fun.  I assume they had to cut it short for UIL, looking forward to seeing it at the Super Regional.

Seems like it is a 10 band final, it’s been a fun four years for me and an honor to have performed in this area. Wishing good luck to everyone tonight in finals.

Only 10 to finals and 5 to state. It was discovered last minute that one of the Aldine schools had an ineligible marcher at Region which means only 29 bands qualified for Area.
