I could definitely see it. If not a podium this year they’ll definitely be 4th but I could see it. Just depends on what the DCI judges think of their show theme being everything yet nothing at the same time

I honestly have no idea how that last spots gonna be filled bc it’s a crazy season. Also, while i understand they sound amazing, I don’t think the visual/GE of crown will be enough. I personally think people to often forget it’s more than just music and while we haven’t gotten any scores from them and I could be completely wrong, with how good everyone else, they may fall one or stay where they were, but I’d be shocked if they were top 4. It’s an amazing brass book and their guard is awesome but I’m a bit worried, but again , I could be completely wrong. Tonight will be a good look at everyone minus BD 

SCV 3rd??? I love scv, especially being in battery myself and I think they will win the Sanford but I can barely see them breaking top 5 rn. Great show, but I think it’ll take them some time to get back to the level of 2018

Yeah. I mean with how they’ve been scoring in relation to other groups, I think it’s somewhat possible. I obv understand beating BD and maybe PR will be hard but they imo have the show to do it if everyone’s at the same level of clean come finals

Yeah I understand that, I do think scv has a very cool show but they have their work cut out for them if they want a spot on the podium. Rlly cheering for scv and pr especially.

Yeah it def won’t be easy, mostly based on assumptions but either way this season has been and will be great, would love for Phantom to medal!

Yeah I have no clue, but it’s a good sign bc it means a lot of groups are on their A  game this season, could arguably be the best all around season post-Covid, LOS is gonna be an absolute bloodbath

It may not be crazy to say we might get a full on anti-sweep of the captions. In my predictions after a few weeks of DCI season and watching shows I think that:

Zingali Colorguard - Blue Devils

Sanford Percussion - SCV (awesome show)

General Effect - Bloo

Ott Brass - Crown 

I think Boston will not win an award (but cut close with SCV for Stanford) but will medal gold or silver.

A bonus is that a lot of the lower corps are GREAT this year. Even the All Age corps are doing amazing. Music City, Gold, Crossmen, Genesis, you name it. This is going to be a great year for DCI.

Oh for sure! That 12th-15th-ish is gonna be pretty tight I think, hoping for a tie for 12th so we get 13 in finals 🤞

i totally agree with this!! i remember last year genesis struggling to break 70 at finals last year and this year they are less than 2 points away from doing so after their first show! i also am predicting a boston crusader win this year 🙏

Yes! If there is a tie for 12th place, both corps will perform the next day for finals. Looked it up and it has happened before. Would not mind having an extra band at finals.

Part of me is hoping BAC and Bloo tie for 1st because of how good their shows are. I can’t pick a winner this year it’s extremely competitive!

Nah this is where it gets fun, definitely join my website if you want to see how you stack up against other enthusiasts. Although I do think we can kinda piece some of the picture together, we won’t rlly be able to tell until dci San Antonio, which my team will definitely be at. Should be a fun prediction pool!

Also who else notices spirit of Atlanta battery🔥🔥🔥. They are coming in hot, I really want them to make finals but it’s not looking great for their corps, though their Perc is definitely top 12. Great book, Great instruction, Great players. It’s a bright future.

It is the only one to have impacted me this season other than Blue Devils. It is just stunning. It feels like the closest any of the "old school" corps has gotten to really nailing down and emulating their essence.

I want to take a second to mention Music City and their ability to make entertaining shows year after year. Great design team over there in my opinion, and a good brass line this year. Another corps that also had my attention was Gold. That show was awesome and it didn’t feel like an open class show. Great sounds so far this year.

Happy Monday everyone! It’s a big week for DCI as we begin the Texas tour in just 2 days!!! I wi be at Denton, San Antonio and McKinney this year and am very excited. Will probably do live updates at Denton and SA, still don’t know yet but here’s my preds for San Antonio:

My reason for BAC in first is more of a possibility than anything. They have the Friday before SA to rehearse where Bloo is going to the show in Houston. I think Bloo wins Denton and the BAC SA since they have that extra day to clean. Super excited for these next few days, hope everyone’s getting to go to some shows as well!
