i personally wasnt able to watch many bands due to being busy at school today but im very impressed by davenport’s placement. huge congrats to fredericksburg for representing area d in finals (woop woop!!). also anyone else notice that legacy ranch was only 2nd out 👀 they’re going to be one heck of a competitor in these coming years for sure

They are thinking cut off numbers are actually going to go down due to statewide enrollment numbers being down.

Content and design scores are interesting and very unexpected.  I’m really interested to see how they change in finals….because I think they will change.

cantons downfall needs to be studied

I remember when my daughter was a freshman 5 years ago I think and Canton was one of the favorites

Canton plays while marching way more than most other bands and they're hardly rewarded for it... maybe park and bark is their solution...

Guess you don't need the drumline to get 7th in perc. Perhaps that's an oversight? Would not want incentivize cutting drumlines.

Canton is still a great program...it's just that so many other great bands have pulled ahead of them. Also, of all the 4A schools represented at SMC, Canton's enrollment is almost the smallest.

definitely not. i dont think LR “cut” their drumline per se its just because they have smaller numbers due to being a freshman/sophomore only band they chose to focus entirely on their front ensemble, which is clearly working - their front ensemble is incredibly clean

North Lamar, Awesome job!!! Their history of being amongst the top 7/10 bands in their classification for as long as they have has always been impressive to me. They are slowly rising in the ranks again, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were to sneak into the top 5. Great performance North Lamar!
