I am so sorry! They usually name the top  6 first and then the bottom 6 next.  But it doesn’t look like they did that this time.  And usually each half is randomly ordered for the finals.  Not sure they did that this time either. 
 

You should be proud and go for the gold regardless.  Making finals in this competition is not an easy thing to do!!!

Rockwall in fact made bottom 6, they do bottom half for the first half of performances and top half for the later performances, but its still very impressive that yall made it regardless

Does anyone know why Rock Hill didn’t advance, like what did they do wrong with drill or music? I was trying to watch their prelims performance but had a football pregame when they performed.

Okay so apparently I just don’t know anything lol 😂😂

Congrats to Rockwall and KC!!! Wasn’t expecting Rock Hill and East to miss, nor not any of the McKinney schools, but well deserved regardless!! Tonight’s going to be insane, congratulations to everyone who competed this morning. Probably just gonna do a full recap after finals so I can just enjoy, gl tonifht everyone!! Also sorry for ever doubting Wylie, had a feeling they’d get in regardless of my thoughts

Wylie making top half is very promising for their chances of snagging that fourth state spot at UIL.

BOA always does a top half/ bottom half split for finals and the order within the half is random.

The announcement of finalists is random. However, the finals performance times are not. They are bottom 6 first followed by top 6. Within the bottom and top, those are by random draw.

Lone star supposed to go on 4th for finals... but the other bands that drew for finals didn't make  finals so it goes in order  after that.. FYI

Gonna preface that Im not saying this cause Im salty about Boyd or McKinney schools missing cause I can totally get why, definitely not salty about those misses since it was a tough bubble

But definitely not 100% on a couple if the spots, personally disagree with Wylie top half and North missing for Braswell, but Im not the judges so not gonna call them stupid, show design seems to lead the results here this year with some of the major discrepancies in visual/music execution, but besides my own subjective opinion the finals group makes sense
