CASTLES OPENER!!! Still struggling to fully interpret band sounds with how these mics are laid out. But the opening hit was awesome.

Cedar Park just absolutely killed their run, outstanding ensemble sounds and that new closer looks clean.

Holy cow I'm still panting from the field exit.  

From the field I think that may have been CP's best run all year.  So proud of the kids, they were pretty emotional.

Now it's time to wait and see.

Cedar Park really blew the roof off of Lucas Oil this morning. Big Texas sound matched with their best ensemble sounds of the year. Those kids really turned up this morning. I was sitting in front of 2 arrangers and 2 non-competing directors. They were not mildly but highly surprised by their run. 

3A is a two horse race between Castle and Cedar Park. 

Prosper had a nice run earlier this morning. We should see them Saturday.

The sounds coming out of Leander are absolutely insane. TX bands are showing up for this weekend💪

Leander killed it, maybe their best run of the year, too.  They sound SO good!

Argyle did amazing! Love the trombone soloist. Hoping to see all these TX groups in semis.

The trombone solo and the entire ballad are beautiful.  Really nicely done.  I think they should play in the next round.

Mustang still has one of my favorite show themes of the year. Plus the uniforms are fun.

Congratulations to all our Tx bands!! Sounds like everyone had great runs, though I saw on Hornrank from one of the Bridgeland parents they had a rough run. Kiddos, don't worry, it's just those first time nervous and Ik tomorrow ya'll will knock it out of the park!! Really hoping all 6 make semis so I get to see them all at least once, hoping for a strong Tx showing in finals, can't wait!!

Also, for the sake of me somehow messing this up, just confirming that tomorrow's semi-finals begin at 6 AM CT or Texas time? Boa site says 7 am and I'm guessing that's ET, just double checking so I know when to wake up.

Yes, those times are Eastern.

Love the music in Bartletts show. I don’t remember if I have ever heard Gabriels Oboe arranged for marching band, but I loved that ballad.

Schools like Coppell, Timber Creek, Forney, Bridgeland, Cy Fair, Seven Lakes, Lonestar, Waxahachie, Westlake, Westwood, and Rouse all should consider going!

Flower Mound tends to go every four years which means they should go next year. However, there is uncertainty because this is a big expense year for them. They attended BOA Super Regionals in San Antonio followed by UIL State. They are leaving next Sunday for NYC to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
