Lone Star vs McKinney North... 46-7 Lone Star

Just saw Mckinney north and Lone Star bands... Mckinney is doing their usual jazzy show they sound great... Lone Star sound 50% better than they did at Argyle... they are still working on their drill..... this run was cleaner than the last time..... they are going to more movement if they want to be competitive.... lots park and bark right now.... I will give them their woodwind section is incredible this year..... 👏 🙌 ❤️....

It's a gamble.... but I think this year is going to be crazy.....

Off topic a little but I think they all get their shows written by Evan Van Doren... they buy the written shows from him.... at least that's what it seemed like last year when spoke to the crowd during a break at U.I.L.

I won't deny wakeland has stepped up the music but Lone Star still has that ever so slight edge..... Lone Star has it cut out for them in musicality.. wakeland has stepped up..

Let me correct myself higher level music......

I think it's going to be razor thin close between Lone Star and Wakeland.... Just like Cedar Park and Rouse....

That's what I heard when I was in school at the original Frisco High school..... Back then as a 3A we here playing 5A music beating larger schools with bigger ensembles at competitions. Here the Meyerson contest was one that we won i believe twice... I'm old now and from the 1900's so my memory isn't the greatest.... Elsa's procession to the cathedral was one and molly on the shore , mock Morris and children's march Irish tune from county derry.... I believe it's early in the year they do have a chance...

Same for Lone Star..... Lone Star plays music that's "6A music".... they weren't able to eligible to compete this time around....

You're not being rude.... lol...... it's early in the season.... LS is the past TMEA winner... I know it doesn't mean much...... but I willing to be hopeful...

I know I'm probably way off mark but I think Lone Star could come close to pulling off music over percussion... but I'm probably just dreaming... lol...

It's going to be really tough for them... Rouse really wants it this year and you can tell by the show they have this year....... Rouse is leaving everything on the field already......

Im waiting for the Frisco showcase on the 23rd..... I'll make my predictions then....

You're right about Lone Star... I'll see if i can get something on Emerson.... I work with someone who has a kid in the band..

NL has always been good but not over the top... even 26 years ago when I was in school they were good but nothing to scream about like Hebron, Cedar Park, Coppell Rouse, vista ridge, Carmel ,tarpon springs, Marcus, FloMo. ...... Back then, Poteet ,duncanville, Keller, Grapevine, Colleyville, Keller Fossil ridge were like them.. 1999..
