Lone Star got second behind Hebron at Melissa..... with that being said 1st is going to be really close this year between Wakeland and Lone Star..... I'm going out on a limb and saying Lone Star could win.... I know this comes up every year but there's something different about Lone Star and their show and drill......

North Forney amazing job.... great marching... drill wasn't what I expected... great sound.. bassoon soloist was amazing.. I'll say they're in the 1 spot...

Wow.. Rowlett... great job.... sounded amazing... drill is written very well .. some individual opportunities... all in all awesome job... I would give them a slight edge over Lebanon Trail...

Little great drill ... sound needs a little more work.. they could be louder.... color guard seemed off quite a few drops.... 1. Lebanon Trail 2. James Martin. 3. Liberty 4. Little Elm So far.. IMO...

Lebanon Trail just pulled ahead of James Martin... great drill. Still not finished the show.... sound and pitch need some work but nothing major they can't fix..

With all the videos out there of shows I see the top 5 being close this year.... Cedar Park, Rouse, Wakeland, Leander, Lone Star....

We'll be there from start to finish...

Here in Frisco it's only Lone Star and Wakeland that are rivals......... from what i see..... Lone Star's musicality is much stronger than Wakeland but Wakeland's drill and GE is stronger than Lone Star's....... if either one could master both they'd be really competing against CP for state....

Another dark horse after last night is Emerson high school......

Emerson is going to be a dark horse in my opinion..... and heritage was good they could really have a chance to finish high...

Wakeland really went in and took Blue coats creep from 2011...

I heard in some areas where some of the brass stopped playing... but the folks that were sounded good.... not to the level I'm used to hearing Y'all but still good.... the soloists still need work.. especially the flute soloist... they sound unsure about the notes they are playing.... they need to breath through every note and stop doubting themselves.... I hope y'all can rebound this Tuesday at the showcase..... and on Saturday y'all definitely have a huge uphill battle with Hebron being at the Melissa showcase...

Lone Star looked ok last... they're almost finished with the show... now it comes down to cleaning their Visuals and technique marching.... this show will amazing if they get it cleaned.... I think it's one of their strongest shows...

Given my nephew's involvement in the band, I offer constructive criticism, although I acknowledge he might not relish it, because I am eager to see the band thrive and become a formidable competitor, particularly against Wakeland. Additionally, the color guard demands considerable refinement, as its present condition may compromise the band's future success.

The bands were great ... McKinney North show is another jazzy Broadway show..... Lone Star sounds great... their woodwinds are killing it this year in my opinion since last year.... the brass is sounds amazing full rich tones... they are still working on their drill.... which makes me nervous..... they really need to step it up and get things going..... they're running behind in my opinion.... since their drill isn't done there's a lot of park and bark....
