CP has plenty of GE...... GE has not nothing to do with Props... GE is what the students do with bodies, hand, feet ,head, facial expressions..... your point isn't valid..... Argyle auntie if have been a judge then you'd know in uil props aren't part of the judging of the contest.... props can be used to enhance the shows theme but they've never been seen as judging criteria.... at least from what I remember..... Leander had those screens but I bet you one thing is the judges might have seen them as a distraction to their beautiful drill... if they would have used those screens as background I think they would have enhanced the show more instead of taken away.....

I don't think it's fair but this practice has been going on since I can remember..... the judging world is small so they do what they can to have judges available..... I do think that judges for UIL State should be from each class or mix of each class band directors from areas where those bands didn't make State.....

At this point I don't think Lone Star cares..... Its disheartening for them but they should be proud of what they did .... the directors parents and the students know their worth and know where they should be...... much love to Lone Star high school marching band......

My last post for awhile.....If that was run for Lone Star wasn't the most rich and full of textures and flourishes i don't know what to they need to do other than go to Evan VanDoren and have him make them a Show like the top 4 in finals..... just my observation..... thank you in advance..... lol....

I'm Lone Star feels tge same about the music judges...... lol..... glasses and hearing aids might be needed for today's finals...... Just saying this as a spectator.....

It's incredibly tough and difficult to see Where judges placed Lone Star in music after sweeping at the Area competition with 1's.... and being placed below the bands they swept..... I'm saying the other bands musicality isn't bad but that's a huge shift that doesn't make sense even at a DCI level of judging..... From 1's in area to nearly bottom half of almost not making finals... Am I being too critical about this or does this seem a bit off?

How does Lone Star go from 1 point difference between Wakeland for first at area and go to the bottom in a week....??? It's not adding up to me....Lone Star's music was on fire.... they swept at area in music.....??? There's one thing about Lone Star Mr Poole and his other directors know how to refine their sound ... He's lead them to win TMEA which is no small feat.....

This is surprising to me that a few bands didn't make finals at BOA but are in the top spots at finals? Yes I understand the scoring is a little different but not that much... Am I just not seeing it??? Am I wrong to think this way???

After watching everyone today... here are my final predictions.... 1. Cedar Park 2. ROUSE 3. Wakeland 4. LONE STAR 5. Leander 6. Argyle 7. Aledo 8. Lebanon Trail 9. Burleson Centennial 10. Hendrickson 11. Friendswood 12. Midlothian/ McCullougham I might be wrong, but it’s really all about what the judges like. It’s subjective, which makes it hard to tell who truly did the best. It’s not like football, volleyball, baseball, or track — where the winner is clear by who scores the most touchdowns, aces, home runs, or crosses the finish line first.

Their show is GE...lol... what did you miss? I don’t know where you saw major spacing issues?????....

I don't understand how a tie could happen after on school wins two caption awards..... that's weird to me....

I think if the would've played parts of the theme song of the magic school bus it would really captivated the audiences.... their music is solid but just adding that would have made it more engaging.... but who am I to give advice on writing a show...

With the regional going in San Antonio are any of the judges there judging the 5A competition on Monday?....

The fight for state is going to be for 2nd..... CP show is very well written and it's being executed flawlessly...... the real battle is for 1st runner up..... I understand I may get flack for saying this but that's what I see....
