I've been watching the few videos of the top bands in 5A. the real battle is going to be for 2-5 it's going to be crazy...... I just don't see anyone knocking off CP....... tomorrow I'll be at the Wakeland and Lone Star high school football game..... this rivalry is crazy.... both bands are hungry for the top spot in their area....

I'm sure after this incident all band directors are going to double checking student grades before area....

I know y'all are doubting my prediction of wakeland finishing second in their class but I guess we'll find out..... Their show is written very well and it will surprise a few people..... I'm not saying rouse isn't a powerhouse but wakeland is totally different this year..... their marching technique is right there with cedar park.... but we'll see in couple of weeks....

The real competition this night is going to be for that last qualifier spot for state..... Is it going to be a Frisco sweep or Argyle ,Walnut Grove or Mckinney North.... MN has great musicians but is it the style of the show that is holding them back? It's an entertaining show to watch but are they doing enough to satisfy the judging criteria to advance them.....

Lone Star 5. Leander 6. Aledo 7. Lebanon Trail 8. Burleson Centennial 9. Friendswood 10. Midlothian 11. Hendrickson 12. Lake Belton This is just a rough mock up..... I've most of these bands I've only seen on YouTube... it's not a fair representation.....

State competition is going to be wild this year....

Does anyone one have results from region 24 . I know wakeland, lone star, Lebanon Trail got 1's but I don't know about tge rest...

Think emerson is really going to surprise everyone.... I saw them again at region today and they have really put their show together and tge hard work shows.... I could see them sneaking into the top 5..... they did have a couple of spots that just need to be polished but they're definitely a threat . ..

I've seen McKinney North twice at competitions and as much as I would like to see them that high up i don't see it.... they music is amazing the students do a great job performing but it's segmented to small ensembles throughout they show it's not as cohesive as last years.... this where i can see Reedy, independence and even emerson sneaking in..... i see McKinney North in 5th or 6th....

That's freaking.... y'all have an amazing program...... I love the program y'all did last year..... the tuba section for my nephew's school totally love y'all.... especially the Tuba section.....

Are you part of the Baylor band? Another coworker of mine has her son in the band... he was also in crossmen this summer.

Emerson just needs to clean and tighten up their show... my co-worker's daughter is in that band... they're going to be in tge hunt for that last state spot in my opinion..

Commerce is the only band I know is doing an exhibition performance...

Amazing job Marcus.... wow.... that ending was incredible...... That last hit with the colorguard flourishing that ending was amazing..... its going to be a fight for 1st... wow....
