I agree with you 100%. Cedar Park is going after Argyle's record.

Cedar Park- The opening visuals looked really cool! Their sound is already on another level and we aren't even into October yet! Another thing I like about their show is their use of the field. The visuals look AMAZINIG! The trombone solo was played beautifully! Overall, I am really excited to see how well Cedar Park does this year, especially since they are making the trip out to Grand Nationals! Congratulations on making finals Cedar Park and best of luck the rest of the season!

what I really like about this contest is its my one chance to see these schools until State. Especially this season since I'll be going to none BOA/USBands contests and will be at Area J in November.

Lake Travis- They sound AMAZING! Loved how powerful the band is throughout the show! Their visuals are really fun to watch and I can't wait to see what they have in store once the show is fully complete. The final part they closed with sounded wonderful!!! Congratulations on making finals Lake Travis!!

I found a video that includes both Lovejoy and Anna's performance. The halftime performance for Lovejoy starts at 2:18:33 since they played an ad around the time that they begin the performance. Anna is around 2:30:09.

Klein Cain- Its been really fun seeing how much Cain HS has grown as a band! The show was really fun to watch and I really liked that opening part with the Dracula castle music. I also really enjoyed the brass feature that happened just before the ending of the show. I can't wait to see how well this show does throughout the rest of the season! Congratulations to Klein Cain on making finals!

Leander- Alright, Leander coming out here with a really groovy kind of show! That opener has become one of my favorites for the year so far. The music is really fun and the visuals are really fascinating to watch. If I'm being honest with everyone, it feels like I'm watching The Bluecoats from 2019-2023. This show is going to be very fun to watch throughout the season. And this is just another example of why Leander HS is one of my favorite bands to watch each season. Congratulations to Leander HS on making it into Finals!!

I believe this show could get them into Area D finals.

Hutto- HELLO HUTTO!! That opening hit caught me off guard! I'm really liking the visuals for this show. The music is really fun to listen to. Its very well balanced throughout the band! The bassoon duet in movement 2 was a really cool feature since we don't get to see them very often. The solo in movement 3 was played very well as well! I know there is still cleaning and stuff to do for the show, but overall, I really like this show and can't wait to see how Hutto does this season! Congratulations to Hutto HS on making Finals!!!

Westwood- Alright, the music for their show is so much fun to listen to! Definitely a change of pace from last year's show. The slow movement is very unique imo. Overall, I really like this style of show and can't wait to see how this season goes for them! Congratulations Westwood on making finals!

Round Rock- First off, I want to say that opening Saxaphone solo was SOOOO GOOD! The musical features are really good and being played very well this early in the season! The uniforms look really interesting as well! Overall I really loved the performance! Congratulations on making finals Round Rock!!

I've had the chance to watch Group 1 (group before the break) and here is my personal rankings- Eastlake Volcano Vista Andress Del Valle Bel Air Los Alamos Valencia Mayfield Alamogordo Thatcher I really enjoyed Eastlake's show! I could see them having a chance to advance to State if they keep performing as well as they did in prelims! Volcano Vista had a really fun show and I really loved the Egyptian theme for Andress! Can't wait to see group 2!

Yeah. But the stuff I dealt with came from events outside of Marching Bands. I learned about band copyright stuff when I was a freshmen in High school in like 2015

I'm not surprised. Copyright isn't something to mess with. I've learned the hard way with it.

Well today marks the beginning of competitions for Texas Bands! I'll be watching finals for this competition, and I can't wait to see how everything plays out! To anyone competing at this competition, I wish you all the best of luck!!!

I know next Friday will have Anna since they face Melissa who is livestreaming all their games.

I'll be able to see both North Lamar and Canton in 2 weeks, so it will be interesting to see how both do.
