  1. Also supper happy Waxahachie didn't end up getting disqualified!
  2. I unfortunately missed the visual part of DS but from what I heard they did very well, hoping they can slip into finals at GN's and maybe even here. I'm now going to compose my predictions/tier list. I didn't get to watch some of these bands but am going off of what ya'll said about them, will post it after making my list.
  3. 😮 Wow, hopefully the show gets posted on YT so I can see what happened, surprised I didn't catch it but glad they recoverd fast
  4. Yeah, I could see this happening, for them it really depends on how the judges feel, because there's a ton of controversy around their show design this year among the fans, but they did win TMC and Area, but again against other Austin area bands, but should be top half, medaling isn't guaranteed, at least for me
  5. Yeah I agree, I personally have Hebron and Marcus above them (yes I'm crazy, don't care), but I think they have a much better run in them, but if Hebron pulls off the type of performance they had today, I don't see them getting passed, just my personal opinion but anything could happen here
  6. Amazing performance from Vandergrift! I will admit, after seeing all these other bands, I felt desiring more from the musically, and I ultimately think Hebron will take them, at least tonight. Both were clean, but Hebron's show is just on a completely different level, drill was very clean but some stick outs in the big curvilinear forms, but I think they will still medal. Just so clean all around, great job Viper Band!
  7. I feel this lol, as a Rangers fan I've been catching up with the game since it started after each band
  8. Great performance from North Shore!! Also so fun to hear "blow it up, start again"! Really great sounds all around, and they really showed the theme throughout the show, great job North Shore!
  9. Wonderful performance from Berkner! Really happy to see them back at state, loved getting to see them live at Boa Prosper! They really emphasize the "time" part of the show with the visuals in the pre-show, loved the tuba solo, and they sound really good, some difficult passages they are killing! Just such a special moment for them, amazing job Mighty Ram Band!!
  10. I think this years show for Vandy is harder for some and easy for others to like. For me personally, I think the show design lacks a personal/emotional connection, but perform the HECK out of it, was blown away by them at Area H, but I think they have a real solid shot at medaling, but it's hard for me to see anyone coming close to Hebron at the current moment.
  11. Okay lol, you might have wanted to say that from the get go. Sorry about ya'll not making it this year, ya'll are still an incredible program, and I have no doubt ya'll will come back super strong at BOA SA and prove the doubters wrong, best of luck this weekend!
  12. Amazing performance from Dawson! I was distracted by some school stuff but what I heard was really good, I see why they are having one of if not their best season to date! I do wish there was a bit more colorful field presence, felt like there was something lacking, but the flute/picc soloist were incredible, loved that ballad, great job Dawson!
  13. In my personal opinion and from what I've heard, it doesn't sound like Burleson Centennial had their best runs at area, which happens to the best of the best, and I think they will do much better at state. I think well respected band would have won that boa comp, it wasn't really competitive other than against Clovis, who is having somewhat of an off year, and I don't think anyone else would have won that US bands comp, they were for sure the favorite. I can definitely see them making finals, but they do have to go on fairly early in the competition, which could hurt them, but it's less of giving credit, I know they are a great band, and more of just what I think is personally going to happen, but I'd love for them to make finals!
  14. I don't know if I'd be so comfortable to say that. I'm gonna do a predictions/tier list combo at the end of prelims, but a LOT of bands are stepping it up this year, even so enough to overcome "the usuals." Any updates on Waxahachie? If I had to guess they aren't gonna get the appeal approved, which opens up another spot which I guess is a good thing for that band that gets in, but I still feel SO TERRIBLE for them.
  15. HELLO WESTWOOD!!! What a musical performance!!! They had me on my feet by the end of that show, I mean holy cow! Those woodwinds are SOOO stinking good, brass was very tasteful, great visual package, and the guard really brough the theme of the show together with the rest of the elements. A BIG case for finals for them IMO, they are just another one of the so many bands today that deserve to be in finals! If they don't make it, that was a run to be proud of, incredible job Westwood!
  16. So much improvement from Keller since Area!! Their brass is just phenomenal as always, drill is a LOT cleaner all around, and that ending really packs a punch! I do think it was their best performance to date and would be pretty surprised if they don't make finals, but with how good everyone has been, anything could happen. A couple small splats in the brass towards the end, but still an amazing run. I'm thinking they should do pretty well at GN's, starting to shape up to make finals, and I think that "magical touch" will be there by then. Great job Big Blue!!!
  17. I'm sorry, nothing is coming anywhere close to touching that, Hebron is miles ahead of the best of the day, would be so shocked if they don't win today, will be interesting to see how Vandy responses but I don't see them coming close to that, I'm just speechless. One word: Perfect. All of it. All in, All the time. I'm starting to struggle to see anything topping this at nats, at least musically, but there's plenty of GE. I'm just speechless right now
  18. Yeah I think It's safe to say this is the most competitive 6A state comp to date, I would hate to be a judge here IK!! Right off the back just into the hard stuff with no problem
  19. Amazing performance from 7L!! That music book is not easy but they made it seemed so! Woodwinds were killing those licks, very strong sounds from the brass, guard was great, big fan of the music in this show, great job Seven Lakes!
  20. Also, forgot to do these, but here's my block 4 rankings: Marcus Flomo Vista Ridge Woodlands Bridgeland Westlake Clear Brook PSJA United
  21. Unfortunately not. it was only free for Box5, but there will be posts of the results.
