Panel 2 Music Ensemble seems to skew significantly lower than Panel 1 Music Ensemble in prelims. At least from what I saw.

Also, I'm in agreeance that Cedar Ridge set a bar that other bands fighting for a finals spot are going to have to meet or beat to get in.

While it isn't 80s/90s, Phantom Regiment 2010 ends with the corps running into the tunnel and a soloist closing the show being the only player on field? It's probably not what you're looking for, but thought it wouldn't hurt to try.

Anyone else ever just pull an idiot move and forget about major players when making your predictions? I submitted mine and realized I totally forgot about Cedar Park and Bowie. I am a fool.

Avon has some really really cool and well executed drill.

I don't know if maybe it's the writing or just me but does Carmel sound like they're having some minor phasing issues to anyone else?

I'm fairly biased but I'm also a pretty big fan of their show this year. So much cool writing all around, and a decently high amount of demand in that opening hit compared to a lot of the other programs I've seen this year, and the concept is something that seems simple but goes a long way. Also, beating a dead horse, but love what Reagan is doing this year. That pre-show gets me really hyped up, and the raw power behind those hits is ridiculous. Vandy's ballad is a stand out moment for me too. So intense, just wish I could hear the trombone over the band a tiny bit more. Honorable mention to Harker Heights for having a really fun show. Love the 80s music they're playing.

I believe the gap between 6A State and BOA San Antonio last year was like a couple days, it just ends up happening sometimes, and the students managed to pull it off, and I imagine they can do it this year.

Yeah, I feel like I always see them getting later prelims performance times in contests, so I wonder if this is going to be any level of an impact.

One thing about this contest that's gotten me interested is how many of the usual finalists have had a bit of a competitive drought from the beginning of the season. CTJ, FloMo, Hebron, Cedar Ridge, Marcus and Vista Ridge (I know they just competed at Midland, but they were kinda isolated from other potential finalists at this contest) are particular ones that I'm interested to see here, placement-wise.

I think you have a minor mistake in repeating a few of the years, under different numbers, like the first appearance of 2015 has the information of 2013 I think. Otherwise, this is an AWESOME amount of information you seeked out!
