:( ugh man that sucks for them, was really hoping for them to be in finals

Also, I didn't get the chance to say much during the event, but holy moly, Vandy had some musical moments that made my jaw drop. So so so beautiful. That first place was earned.

    Cedar Ridge - fun show!

I know the show is “Medusa’s Secret World”, does anybody know why the bubble gum? Is that a reference to something?

I know the show is intended to be based on a younger, more carefree Medusa, and I think the bubblegum was just used because of it conveying some of those ideas, and to develop the overall color pallette of the show.

1, I believe in the Cedar Ridge comeback and do believe that they will make finals here. I'd say my bubble bands for finals that I don't have in my top 14 are Leander, James Bowie, Keller Central, Timber Creek, and Westlake. Unfortunately won't be able to watch any of this, hoping our football game is over before they day finals retreat which should happen, but best of luck to all these bands competing this weekend!

I too, believe in the Cedar Ridge comeback

    Reagan is NEISD

Yes, but Cedar Ridge, Round Rock, McNeil and Westwood are all RRISD, which makes the total of RRISD bands in that list 4.

I should also clarify I'm not like 100% confident in my prediction, I missed a few group that I'd consider state finalist potentials. I'm just going off of what I have seen today.

    Reword that please

I thought McNeil did pretty well, so I wouldn't be fully surprised if the state qualifiers were Reagan, Cedar Ridge, Round Rock, McNeil, and Westwood, bringing the total of RRISD to 4.

Although, none of my predictions are solid!

From what I have heard bowie has a breathtaking show. The story telling is truly like no other on how it displays the shapes and feelings of the heart. The musical arrangements are truly spectacular including new pieces by Kevin Shah and classics like dust in the wind. The work that has been put in since Katy is completely breathtaking. The show that will be put on today will be marvelous (NOT from Bowie) (( Probably from Churchill)

this kinda reads like an advertisement lmao

From the first block Cedar Ridge was outstanding! I am not sure what they did but it felt like a whole new show. As of right now no school has matched them in music. Round Rock is clean but they are missing something not sure. We will see where the judges place them.

I mentioned it earlier, but heavily agreed on Cedar Ridge! Things clicked in a way they haven't before imo

    Videos are still uploading....

Here's the playlist of all bands finals performances with the exception of Lake Travis (it's a mess on my end)

I also found this video of Cedar Ridge's exhibition! I'm still on the search for a Lake Travis recording to complete the collection!

Thank you for your recordings! Archiving performances is something I think is super important.

Cedar Ridge was fantastic! Color guard is stunning and their music has improved since BOA Austin. They are in good shape for next week UIL area and should be battling Reagan for 1st. I will be interested in seeing if CTJ will come back from their BOA Katy placement.

They're getting crazy blend on their sound, and I think the closer easily has my favorite music and drill writing of the show, even if it's short.

Just hoping they can crank the volume a bit more as we start to enter this tail end of the season!
