  1. Cinco Ranch has a nice show. Some big hits. Enjoyable show.
  2. Houston hasn't been live blogged for a few years. So don't hold your breath.
  3. On the plus side, it does have shady spots that are good for viewing.
  4. On the plus side, it does have shady spots that are good for viewing.
  5. Nope, no ushers. People just wander during performances.
  6. So thoughts on SFA. Clean music and visuals. I preferred last year's theme, but I think they perform stronger this year. Very much on the bubble in my view.
  7. As Rubisco has stated, the music book is great. The visual demand is high, and there is always something going on.
  8. So I still have some bias, but that was really good. The energy and impact of that show are top notch. Still with work to do. But still.
  9. Friendswood had a nice show. Not a contender for tonight, but some really nice moments. They have more to add, so it is a work in progress. Good job!
  10. Yeah. They don't have ushers either so people are wandering around during shows.
  11. So there was a good surprise. Klein Oak put on a very strong performance that came across well. The 2nd half was the strength as the 1st half left me a little cold. My opinion is if they miss it is due to that.
  12. Bridgeland continues to grow. Not a finalist this time, but they a developing better sound and visuals. They need to perform with more confidence, but that will come. Enjoyed the show!
  13. Cypress Woods. A strong performance. Certainly better than last week. I would not be surprised either way on finals. Certainly a worthy performance.
  14. Oak Ridge has such a great sound. They lack a little in visual, but I really liked the cross cross drill at the end. Very much in play for finals.
  15. JET with a really good performance. Good sound, some visual dirt but overall very much looking for finals.
  16. Oh. Thought I would mention that, contrary to the info from BOA, parking is free.
  17. Got to the stadium in time to see O'connor. Strong brass statements, missing a little woodwind sound. Liked the performance.
  18. So, forecast is 93 today, with scattered rain in the afternoon (around 20% chance). Very humid of course - heat index around 100. If this was next weekend, they are now forecasting lows in the 50's, and highs in the 70's. Sunscreen for today it is!
  19. Do you mean the one that I posted? http://www.txbands.com/forums/index.php?/topic/7447-viewing-guide-for-october-5-2019/
  20. Oh, and no metronome was audible...
  21. I do believe TWHS went all the way through their closer at the game tonight (that was just via listening on the radio broadcast so not completely certain, but really sounded like it). So I would expect a full show tomorrow. I won't call it "complete" just yet, as I'm sure they have plenty to add to make it "complete".
  22. Ack! That's awful!
  23. Found this: https://www.downtownindy.org/download-pdf/downtown-indy-skywalk-map/
  24. Yep, and you don't even have to go outside from the JW to get to the convention center. There is a walk on the second level that goes beside the parking garage and then crosses over. I can't count how many times I made that walk in 2017...
  25. When we went in 2015 (last time it was close to being this late), no blizzards. But it was cold with a pretty decent wind chill. So be prepared to dress in layers and learn the ways to walk through the convention center and the skywalks around downtown.
