Just went to the crossmen experience camp and mix performance, and I can tell you right now that they are way better than last year!

I am hoping my parents let me go.

Any more thoughts on this season yet? For me, I think Phantom Regiment and the Boston Crusaders will be dangerous this year, Crown FTW this year, and Crossmen will raise in placements, but by how much I will know tomorrow at their experience camp.

I know a lot if drill writers use pyware. That's a really good software to use. Also, our band dedicates a military styled show every year to the veterans sometime around Veterans Day, and we spend a week learning and cleaning a whole new show. It's a lot of fun, and we are happy to do it for them.

And that was about the longest run-on sentence I have ever written in my life. Grr.

Well this was announced publicly to us yesterday although everyone knew for a while, so now I can say it here, but we are losing one of our assistant directors to a middle school out of town, so there is an opening there (but apparently they got 30 applications just on the first day sooo...), and we have 3 new marching techs for the fall season, which has been public for a while.

I am trying to wait as patiently as possible for more podcasts but man am I getting antsy! I miss them so much for some reason.

Sorry for the triple post, but we also had a double tonguing feature for the first time in our show last year and we handled it quite well.

Yeah but the impact of it on the field in a marching show, if done correctly, would be amazing. Two bands I could see pulling it off the right way are vandy and Keller. Possibly Avon.

We just weren't quite prepared for the jump in difficulty, but now we are.

It's really the fact that it was new and we had a lot if freshmen. The show design was much harder than the year before. And it's even harder this year, but so far we are handling it much better, and overall our band is much better including the freshmen than it was last year.
