Man that Tech run was awesome, was definitely not expecting it. I absolutely loved their suffocating defense, especially in the Michigan State game. Luckily for me, I had reason to root for both teams in the championship game. My band is big on Texas Tech, and I personally know a player on the Virginia team. Marco Anthony, a guard coming off of the bench, went to the same middle school as me here in San Antonio, so I knew him well (he was in eighth grade when I was in fifth, but he lived close to me...). So, this championship was definitely fun to watch to say the least.

Yeah, I don’t understand. We don’t seem to have that problem here in NEISD, they are very supportive of all extra curricular activities here but are especially supportive of the five arts, even though we do have good football teams here. It’s sad that football is so much of a religion that sharing is considered a sin to some. Wow.

They are in area H along with the Leander schools, but are in 5A obviously.

I don’t have time to go back and check stats so if someone could please do that for me that would be awesome. I know the game got stale after a while but it kept from having this website going silent for an extended period of time. So, here we are, and it’s inching closer to drum corps season and show announcement season. Marching couldn’t come fast enough. OTOH, it’s time for me to start practicing for section leader auditions and we have fiesta stuff to do so maybe marching season is already here. However, all of the Region 12 top bands are performing for UIL tomorrow at Madison high school so if you’d like to come watch you are surely welcome. You’ll get to listen to selections such as equus by Eric Whitacre and O’magnum Mistyrium by Lauridsen from Madison, La Fiesta Mexicana from Reagan and Smithson Valley, and Rolling Thunder by Filmore and basically all of Lincolnshire Posy by Grainger from Johnson at the end of the day. Hope y’all make it out to see all of these wonderful programs perform!

Y’all are doing pretty great. We’ve competed with y’all the last couple seasons at Yamaha cup and Rocket Review. I’m from James Madison, by the way. I don’t know what grade you are in, but I may know some your friends from them moving here. Maybe we might run into each other some time. Good luck this next marching season!

Why do you think that? They have been doing that song at all of their camps because that is one of their corps songs. It’s a song everyone recognizes them by.
