Yes, they don't announce which judges make up which panel in advance, but it's pretty easy to tell who is on the field judging, and I can usually scope out who is in the box with a zoom lens. We'll post the panels here once we decipher.

Sorry, I was half asleep when updating that, I think I fixed it all now. I always double check when I post recaps, but I haven't been able to find PDFs of their recaps on their website, like they've done for previous years. I can't find the prelims recap anywhere and the finals recap is just an image on their twitter.

The rankings and predictions to tend to diverge, and sometimes dramatically. While the rankings are more bounded by previous placements and actual scores, predictions have much more freedom to include how we think the judges should have scored a group. Now, we tend to be wrong a lot, but what fun are predictions if you aren't wrong?

DCI offered an indoor warm up space at the dome. It was very cramped with just an 80-member hornline, and I'd hate to see what it would be like for some of these 150+ member hornlines.

As many people have said, the Flower Mound thing is not really shocking considering the identity that FloMo has developed, and I for one am a huge fan. I just hope they made a second set of flags with the UIL logo for those competitions and would be even more impressed if they had another set with a FloMo Football logo or something for football performances! Let's not forget: they were the band to unfurl a huge banner that said "This is not a marching band" just a few years ago.

I'm not sure how much BOA results can help predict UIL results. They always seem to end up dramatically different!

This is not the first time something like this has happened at a BOA event. In fact, just last year at the Clarksville Regional, this happened to Franklin (TN) and a saxophone soloist. I know at DCI events, corps are given a list of acceptable and unacceptable frequencies to use, and they work with each corps to coordinate frequencies so that corps don't overlap and risk messing up other corps performances while say doing a mic check out in the parking lot. I'm not sure how much, if any of that BOA does, especially at regionals. I would imagine they have to do some sort of frequency coordination at supers and grand nats, but I'm not sure. I'll just say there's a reason that every year, you see Broken Arrow bring out their sound cart and check all their wireless mics during a break in St. Louis before they perform.
