Yeah Tompkins sounds great this yr, I’m looking fwd to seeing them with uniforms and props (if applicable?) but they should be right up there in the running!

Just saw Timber Creek, kudos to the kids and staff because that’s a massive step up from last yr in music and drill demand and they’re pulling it off! Excited to continue watching them this fall

I’d just love to see MGJ there with their show! I wonder how much volatility we will see this year compared to the past few years. Early season I don’t think anyone would’ve been able to predict 7L in state and BOASA finals or CTJ being beat by some of the bands they were beat by. Plus it’s an early season show so who knows!

You're probably right but i love the direction they've been going in and am veryyyyy intrigued by their show theme! A win would bode fantastically well for their SR show later this fall too

My two picks are 7L and MG Johnson. Clear upward trajectories over the past few years and very intriguing shows for this upcoming season. I also second Braswell! Other than those... I could see Midlothian, Clear Lake, and Liberty making some noise this fall!

Seems like the group who struggled most with the rain were the judges…. They were so vastly not on the same page with each other

Would love for Jordan to finally be able to make the trip to San Antonio. Will be even tougher now with 1 less spot and a good couple bands giving them a run for their money. Fingers crossed!

Most of the rest of the state gets more because there are more schools per area competing. Definitely “fair” as far as the numbers game goes, yes.

This is very disheartening to hear. There will be a whole 250+ kids that won’t get to experience state due to this one error. Incredibly irresponsible stuff, just like timing penalties. This blows!

I have to disagree. The current system does not succeed in getting the best bands to state.

I really enjoyed their show at their early season BOA! Do they also have a vento design?

Foster and Fulshear will be nice additions to this area! They've both had great success at BOA's this year so it'll be cool to see how they do at Area against some of the same bands
