    It was shared on the vista ridge band page. It got shared to the vandegrift band page too . The Pflugerville band page commented that they got more than enough donations to cover it. Thankful for the band community.

    Not sure if this is allowed or not so please delete if it is. I just saw a post that the Pflugerville band is out of money and they are short money to feed the band for BOA this week. There is a link to donate to help them out. I know I donated.

    Gonna be interesting, the last block of bands are so good. I remember as a Vista parent in the days where we were "Cedar Parked" competition after competition. I do wish there was a salary cap of some sort on the productions. In band, money is important of divisive, even in the same school districts. I don't have a solution to propose, but it is an issue. There is also a pretty wild population difference in 6A Schools. Vista is at the low end and some schools have over a 1,000 more students. Love seeing how Vista has made the transition, so it can be done.

    Just saw a great pic, Vista walking towards the field in the tunnel past Vandy exiting. Exchanging high fives and first bumps. That is awesome.

    Congrats to all the bands those that made the finals and those that didn't. This was a difficult year for all the bands to get back into the routine of preparing and performing these amazing routines. Hebron and Vandy seem to be peaking at the right time, and Vista seems to have peaked a couple weeks ago. As always, one one thing about band concerns me is the amount of financial dependence they cost which means bigger more affluent areas can support these huge shows outpacing the others.

    Vandergrift also is lucky enough to pull from a upper middle class to upper class demographic so they have more financial means that many other schools that start out. It isn't everything, but it certainly helps with band.

    Vista Ridge is 6A and is going to grand nats in 2020 for example.

    Totally agree. It will be interesting to see how it plays out next year.

    LISD currently holds the championship for BOA, 6A, and 5A. I wonder if they can keep the ball rolling. Could Vista pull the double of 6A and BOA next year? Who knows.
