  1. You won't be seeing Reagans show. They perform a "full band" show, which is different from the competitive show you might see at BOA. I'm sure you will still see a great performance, though!
  2. Mark Waymire was my band director in Seguin for a few years so maybe I can get ahold of him and find something out. The current director at Seguin is on the Brass staff with scouts as well so I'll see what I can find out.
  3. Can anyone elaborate on what this was? The website really doesn't have any extensive information.
  4. To tell you the truth, I have no idea... Perhaps someone who goes to the school now can tell you.
  5. http://keyetv.com/video/?id=8478@keye.dayport.com Go to that link and watch the Seguin High School Drumline. Then proceed to scroll down and vote for them. Thanks! - Your friendly, peace-keeping moderator Moose
  6. Seguin High School is doing well with their director changes. The top prospect for the Guard instructor is Jason Flores, current caption head of the Seattle Cascades and long-time member of the Concord Blue Devils. The percussion instructor posistion may be filled with David Carbone, former director of Bellbrook High School, Ohio. I'm glad things are going good for them, after losing half of the staff. Also, I heard a rumor that Frank Troyka, director of Cy-Falls high school was moving to Berkner. Can anyone confirm this?
  7. I really like the play on words/dual meaning. Very interesting.
  8. Because you would never do something that smart. Gosh, you probably wouldn't even make it into an academy of math and science. Stupid.... I kid, I kid...
  9. A Kid from my high school is in the pit with the crossmen. Hes the timpani player I believe. Aaron( Skippy) marched Crossmen. 04' I believe. I think he is marching Capital Regiment Now.
  10. Posts in certain threads of the off-topic forum (The word game, etc..) Don't count because its easy to take it as an opportunity to boost your post count. Don't worry about post count though, just make respectful and smart posts and you will gain alot more respect.
  11. Very well, but who do you think is the best band to never win a regional or UIL State?
  12. Yea, I'm gonna go with The Woodlands as well.
  13. Seguin will also be losing their long-time assistant band director Corbin Dillion. Out of the 5 main staff members, they will be losing 3.
  14. It's the third movement. Should be very very emotional. Also, they are playing the third movement of the Rachmoninoff.
  15. Check out L.D Bell 2005 and 2004 I believe. Now granted they had woodwinds, but very good arrangement. Doesn't "kill" the piece.
  16. Music by Ryan George, Drill by Michael Raiford
  17. Maybe they did... Seguin has a great show for 2006. Fits the band well. Hopefully they will be back in the lineup this year.

    Cadets

From the Cadets Website - From This Article "How will the corps begin? Well, the show picks up where it left off in 2006. To make the point clear, the corps will be returning to the field this summer with the drill and visual design from the last 45 seconds or so from 2005. The door will be back, the Catholic School Girls, the guard uniforms and much more. But of course there is a twist
  19. How does your band "get in shape" for the show? What activities do you do? Running? How much? Weights? Jumping Jacks? How does your band motivate its members? What kinda things do you do? Speeches, songs, etc.. How does your band run rehearsal? Who calls the band to set? How often do you take water breaks? Is there talking on the field? Feel free to add on any more How does your band do it type questions!
  20. Check out 4'33" by John Cage.
  21. Seguin will be losing their percussion director for the last ten years, Dr. Tim Sivils. They will also be losing their long time color guard instructor, Brandy Dubose. There are also rumors of the head director moving, but those should be takin with a grain of salt.
  22. So what is your band performing for marching band next year?
  23. Blooing the Coats is a traditional crowd response. It's always fun going to DCI competitions and watching the "uninitiated" freak when everyone is blooing. It can be very confusing to a new drum corps fan.
  24. Among the ones I know of are L.D Bell, Seguin, and Cedar Park, but I'm sure there are many more examples.
