This is great in theory but the Indiana bands still won't make the trip to St. Louis, which is closer than anywhere in Oklahoma. Too stubborn it seems

I honestly wish Oklahoma had a place big and nice enough to hold a super regional, it would allow neighboring states to get a foothold in super regionals and give North Texas/Indiana bands a chance to conglomerate much easier along with being cheaper overall on travels, its more of a wish since we already are filled with Super regionals and I doubt St.Louis would alternate (and there's no way they would remove BOA SA), but its something I've thought about recently

Yeah, based on last year, we had 35 bands in prelims, so with the area losing 5, all 30 would need to make 1’s to take 6 to state, and if there were 5 bands that got 2’s last year, they’d all have to make 1’s to take 7, so the chances of only 5 going are looking somewhat high right now….

This doesn’t bode well for the chances of getting 6 or 7 to state. Hopefully the area gets redrawn this year to spread the wealth. Otherwise, this area becomes even more ridiculous yet again.

I love the hotels that are connected to the convention center for sure. They are definitely pricey though. Check out Springhill Suites behind the JW Marriott for a little better price but still mostly an indoor walk to Lucas Oil. Wonderful hotel!

Very few bands and districts in Texas have the resources to double up, even the wealthier ones. It’s a huge financial undertaking.
