SUPER EARLY PREDICTION I think Kaufman could make state this year possibly could give mount pleasant a run for their money and I think Lakeview centennial could place higher. Poteet and north mesquite is a big one I want to see. I also think that HP and west mesquite could also be great contenders for state spots! 1st. North mesquite/ poteet/LC 2nd. Same. It definitely looks like they’re moving away from a story telling show and more of a general effect kind of show. I can’t wait to see it.

I’m not sure about Garland, but Lakeview is skipping this comp to do the one in Melissa

I think after last year's results, a lot of bands will be stepping it up to either retain or snag a state spot. This year we could even see another band take the area champion title. This will definitely be a fun season to watch!

Very interested to see how Melissa HS does this season with their new head director. He was a former head director from Keller Central (Kevin McNulty)

I agree with this one as well, I think 5/6/7 will be interesting to look at because i'd consider the 3 to all be pretty close to eachother so I can't wait to see how it ends up this fall. I think it will be great to see this contest especially with the newcomers.

I'm sure that we're gonna have WAY more people than listed, but here's what I think an early top 12 could be for this contest with possible "ranges". 4A looks insane for this show and has all the big guys asides from panther creek because of them sticking to the Plano East contest. I’m really curious for Highland Park As much fun the kids probably have, I think they need to move into doing more competitive shows. If so I lowkey could see them 2nd or 1st here. They weren’t bad last year but that show was…..something

After some snooping, it looks like West Mesquite announced their show last night. Seems to be about time or rock and roll?? Does anyone have insight into this?

This thread needs some love! I was very surprised by the results last year, so I'm interested in hearing some other opinions about this area. What are your predictions for next year, and who are you rooting for to make state? Personally, I really enjoyed Mount Pleasant's show last year, and I'd love to see them advance to the state level again!
