Fwguard17 Posted November 4, 2015 Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 Not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed in Leander. Can anyone tell me if their state finals run was sub-par for them? It was the first time I was seeing them this year. Not that it was poor by any means, but it was definitely below the standard they set for me with Color Study. Color study was intriguing from beginning to end and during Choral Works I was definitely feeling my mind wander. I've seen Choral Works 4(?) times this past season including on stream for prelims today, and watching it on stream for finals tonight, felt it was a bit flat energy-wise. My bronze medal from 2013 is hanging happily on the wall back at home. Great memory. My director is always afraid to use them because the frequency's get mixed up in the dome semi-frequently. Especially when you are far away (like that soprano sax was) from the board.
