  2. What is Redwater avenging from 2024?
  3. Today
  4. My guess for finalists would be: Locks: Hebron, LoneStar, Leb Trail, Argyle Moslty Locks: WEast, Forney, Braswell, RockHill, BC, McNorth Could be Anyone: TColony, NForney, Lake Cen10
  5. Honestly nothing bothers me more on this forum than people spamming area threads when alignments aren’t even out yet.
  6. That’s why i said “way too early” it’s just for fun man
  7. I don’t think anyone’s been able to reach Jeremiah in a while. There was a nice google suites recap in the same style but I’ve since lost the link.
  8. Yesterday
  9. This seems about right, though I think Terrell would easily edge out Texas. I do think that HP and West will come back with a chip on their shoulder and a lot of motivation to get a state spot, given that they have been sooo close (with HP hoping to make a return and West hoping to get their first state appearance). For me, it’s only a matter of time until West gets their moment given their steady rise. Also, interested to see what MP does given their slip from the peak they saw in 2024.
  10. Per the TMEA job vacancy site, Mesquite HS will also be getting a new director. I wonder what effect, if any, that will have.
  11. top 10 as of 2/16/2026: 1-3: -Poteet -LC -NM 4-7: -HP -Mesquite -WM -Rowlett/Garland 8-10: -Garland/Rowlett -MP -Terrell/Texas this is in bubbles so it can interchange
  12. The 3 regions all remain the same for now; assuming it remains 2,24,25, here's an early look at how this area could look like. 1 Flower Mound 2 Hebron 3 Marcus 4 Wakeland 5 Wylie East 6 Prosper 7 McKinney 8 Wylie 9 McKinney Boyd 10 Rock Hill First 5 out: Braswell, Byron Nelson, Plano East, Walnut Grove, Little Elm Regarding wakeland, I believe that they are successful enough to place for state in this level and I feel confident in that. I put Wylie above prosper due to the significant enrollment decrease due to PRichland's opening; but they will still be in their own bubble so don't count out prosper just yet Everything else is pretty typical I think. Regarding walnut grove, I think that they will be in a similar bubble as school like Byron, PESH, and LE. I gotta see shows first before I make any guesses but all of those schools excel musically so it will be close. It is so hard to dictate how to choose this area, especially because every school in this entire Area has its own levels of success no matter their placements. I know that some people are very dictated with their choices, and disregard the small guys; but I would not be shocked if a couple of schools sneak up to those upper spots... Dont sleep on VR eaton or Northwest this year
  13. Yeah, it’s honestly good they did so they can get some BOA scoring/comments early on
  14. Did some digging on McKinney's Website, and found their 2026 schedule. Looks like they did drop Melissa for Bedford, definitely focusing on the BOA circuit leading up to Grand Nats next year. https://www.royalprideband.org/royal-pride-marching-band
  15. Fell asleep as soon as I submitted that last one + I was busy yesterday and now I have some free time so let’s go: Cadet Novice: Awesome win for Friendswood! Congrats to Angleton JH and Wright JH for making the podium as well. Novice: don’t know too much about Anahuac but good job on breaking 70 points!! CRA: I also don’t know too much about Madisonville, but something tells me we’ll have to watch out for their cadet and HS teams this year :] JVRA Red: Apparently I underestimated Fulshear JV! Good job to Oak Ridge and Dickinson as well JVRA Blue: Underestimated Brazoswood too 😓 SRA Red: Clear Lake back at it again for gold! Love their guard, as well as Kempner and Spring Woods!! Spring Woods was 6th(?) at State last year in their round after being promoted to AA, and they seem to keep going up even after dropping back down to SRA SRA Blue: Congratulations to Alvin! I don’t know too much about them (I don’t particularly dabble in classes below AA but these teams seem to be convincing me to do otherwise) but they seem to be off to a great start. Same as their cadets, I think Madisonville should be a team to watch out for, especially after a rough season in Scholastic A last year Scholastic AA: MacArthur taking first first competition in AA is impressive! Something tells me they’ll be promoted again soon. Same with Nimitz! 2025 Champs Deer Park showing they’ll make a comeback. Congratulations to La Porte on a great debut and making 4th! Clear Creek is starting to show they belong in AA by making top 5 Scholastic A: Would like to mention that Barbers Hill’s show is AMAZING!!! CE King missing 1st by .11! Also, for their first show in TCGC, Westlake was awesome! Unsure if they’ll appear again but I’m glad I got to see their show this weekend Scholastic National A: Randle stomping through the ranks for a great win first show in National A! Independent A: Only got to see Redemption, but I love their show! Especially the duo ending pose 🤩
  16. Jeremiah (the guy who created Hornrank) hasn't updated the site with the results from 2025. I'm waiting for someone to pop up in here and tell me I have false information lol
  17. Thank you for the confirmation. I look forward to watching it, whenever that happens! 😅 I'm not sure how I'll feel about the show, but I admire that they won't play it safe. We need more of that in the activity.
  18. I’m just curious if anyone has any information bout this. I enjoy analytics and stuff like that so if anyone has insider information on that.
  19. You’d think with Wakeland moving up to 6A things would get easier to predict. Spoiler…they don’t. So here’s an out the window prediction because it’s not even next year yet. 1. Leb Trail 2. Lone Star 3. Argyle 4. Mc North 5. Reedy 6. TColony 7. Melissa 8. Independence 9. Emerson 10. LoveJoy
  20. nice to always see some small schools get some love on here
  21. Last week
  22. dude waaaaaaay to early it also wouldn't shock me if a school or two ends up dropping and a school or two gets added during the upcoming school year
  23. If Garland and Rowlett do End up moving down, I think state is anybody’s game. I think Garland and Rowlett are bands that are seeing some improvement in their program, I really do believe they can score high, making this area even more interesting… Can’t wait to see more possible state spots open up and more importantly what show themes all the schools are Having !
  24. First of all @Rubisco, it’s good to be able to communicate again! Come back, @packwick! Patti Smith’s Birdland is correct. Whether it’s the entire program, I can’t say for sure. There are countless reasons to celebrate Cyndi Robbins and her instructional/creative team. To their credit, they are not sitting back and playing it safe this season. It will be exciting to see the 32, younger but EXTREMELY talented, performers bring the rock and poetry of Smith’s Birdland to life.
  25. No video yet, but I read on Facebook that TWHS world is doing Patti Smith's Birdland. I can't confirm whether that's true, or if it's the whole show or part of it. @TWHSPercDad @packwick It does kind of seem like a strange, experimental song that they would choose. Not at all pedestrian. It could, however, be quite divisive.
  26. Brutally Honest 5A Area B 2026 Predictions. 1. LT/Argyle(Advance to State) 2. Argyle/LT (Advance to State) 3. Lone Star (Advance to State) 4. MN/Melissa (Advance to State) 5. Melissa/MN 6. Reedy 7. Heritage 8. Emerson 9. Independence 10. Lovejoy Don't really got nothing much to say for this one anymore, these are the bands who genuinely can and probably will get this placement. 4 of these schools have been to state and know how to get it again. Lt, Argyle, Ls, Mn, are all super good with scores and teaching and I personally don't think a band besides Melissa or Reedy could even creep to 5th place or higher. For the 5-10 Range, Melissa can probably beat Mckinney North for 5th. I think Reedy and Heritage will do better this year, Reedy always scores higher early season but Heritage always comes out later on top, with these schools its more of a passion project and the kids either get super motivated in the beginning, or the end. for Emerson Independence Lovejoy, I got nothing to really say for them, I just expect better show design. This Area is sort of like a Baby 6A Area J, no matter how hard you try you wont even beat the Top 4, They just get better and better every year. Now with a few stretches, you could get into the 5-7 Range, but these schools are different than the other 6 finalist schools when it comes to competition. There is some inconsistencies recently when it came between Argyle and Lebanon Trail and Mckinney North the past 2 years, but Wakeland left the area. So these schools will just take the Top 4 Spots. Cheers. Feel free to try to argue with my rankings. Past Scores BEATS Biased Predictions. For example lets just say putting a band like Emerson in 4th Place wouldn't make sense without any evidence to back it up.
  27. If Kaufman comes to C, then this is a battle between Sulphur and them. Bridge City, North Lamar and Pine Tree will battle for 3rd. I’d like to see a Canton or Wills Point surprise for the 6th spot.
  28. Way too early predictions. 1.Sulphur Springs 2.Kaufman 3.China Spring 4.Krum 5.Farmersville 6.Pleasant Grove 7.Pine Tree 8.North Lamar 9.Howe 10.Kennendale 11.Commerce 12.Brock
