jmatthews
Having watched Friendswood for many years now, I would argue that they have mastered the slow movement or ballad. 2009 "Convergence" - "Adagio for Strings" and singing 2012 "All the World's a Stage" - music from Last of the Mohicans and trumpet solo Both of these movements were breathtaking. You honestly have to watch them to understand. takigan
I think it's funny how this topic is nearly 10 years old, and it still gets commented on at least a couple times per year
nalyd8991
My favorite slow movement of all time, and arguably the most effective, is from Richland in 2005. It was the highlight of the show in my opinion.

Spinastick
Variety is referenced on the judging sheets for General Effect Music. It would definitely be to your advantage to program variety in tempo into your music book if you wish to max out that caption.
