LHSbandDad Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Out of curiosity.....how many Team Texas T-shirts were ordered total from all six bands both within the programs and the local orders? JeremiahW 1 Quote

I have heard from a number of parents that the schools would rather have their school or show shirt worn rather than the #teamtexas shirts Quote
LeanderMomma Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 There’s room for both shirts. I’m excited to see a sea of #teamtexas folks in these great shirts! CTJBandPops 1 Quote
Popular Post TWHSPercDad Posted October 9, 2019 Popular Post Posted October 9, 2019 Hello World! I feel like the radio-show caller ("long-time listener; first-time caller"). I have been following ALL the commentary on TXBands since the very beginning and here is my first post! I doubt the content will be worth the 13-ish year wait! This will be my third trip to Grand Nationals - my first was as a competing band director, my second (two years ago) was as a band dad, and now my third (this November) as a proud TWHS Senior band dad, Pit Crew member, and Band Booster President. One of my biggest memories from being a student participant in the Houston Regional in 1982, 1983, and Ft. Worth in 1984, was meeting other band members in line for finals retreat - including the local groups, of course, but also folks from Comeaux, ED White, Lafayette, Kosciusko, and Pearl. We even continued writing back and forth through our student leadership, commenting on performances, and wishing groups well. Marching Bands of America (BOA now) really was a "different" contest that brought people together in a way other competitions did not. I applaud all of the more "seasoned" folks, like me, out there who continue support "our" programs. I look forward to meeting you; some of the folks I've been reading about over the past many years. On to San Antonio and Indy! WoodlandsMom4ever, An Inspirational Pinecone, LeanderMomma and 4 others 7 Quote
