Last time I checked, Lewisville wasn’t the only powerful LISD. ;)

Okay yes I totally agree but I’m just wondering who y’all think will be the top of them 3 because it seems to be changing every couple years now

Imagine if Leander ISD was in Area D instead of H. Area D would become BOA Austin part 2.

That’s actually how it used to be! But LISD was all in 5A the years it would have been roughest.

Its hard to say what will happen with the Lewisville ISD schools. They are all so good. Since this is a UIL thread, i feel a bit more confident in my prediction that Hebron will place highest of the three there, but for all I know, FM might go more conservative in their show again and completely dominate. You can never count Marcus out, but I wonder if they will be affected by the director change at all. As far as the Leander schools, this is always really tough. Vandegrift's preview music sounded awesome, but I know the other schools will be just as good.

Joking aside, I’m sure Hebron and FloMo will battle it out for first in their area. And there’s a good chance one of them will take 6A state as well. If a Leander ISD band doesn’t win, I’m rooting for Hebron! Our fellow royal blue LISD band. :)

Looks like 4 will advance per UIL estimates.

Pearland, Brazoswood, Clements, Dawson, Dickinson have all advanced recently.  They all lucked out with Friendswood dropping to 5A.  They would have been a lock to advance.

Friendswood lost their marching director to Dawson

CTJ is on top, dont know if it will be clean enough for UIL standards to medal but they will more likely than not.

Reagan is clean and effective, I would love to see more variety in their drill (a lot of files and ranks).

Churchill has great design but needs to improve musically but I have loved to see their progress in the last few years.

Westwood is a great band definitely up and coming.

Roundrock started the season in 2017 great but some how its progressed slowed down.

Madison was not as strong in 2017 than 2016, hard to tell what will happen there.

Hendrickson keeps improving and I personally loved their show, top 3 favorite.

Bowie really improved as the season progressed, it will be interesting to see what will happen if they start the season strong.

Cedar Ridge has been fun to watch get better, i hope that they are at the level that will be clean by UIL Standards.

Dont know or have watched the other bands to give and informed opinion.

Not to show my bias, but Cedar Ridge looks the best they have in the history of the program.

Whoops. Responded to a post from April. My statement still stands.

I think Hebron has stronger music than FloMo. It might be what edges them over.
