Here are my thoughts on the ten final spots: Brazoswood H.S., TX Cedar Park H.S., TX Claudia Taylor Johnson H.S., TX Marcus H.S., TX McNeil H.S., TX Ronald Reagan H.S., TX Stephen F. Austin H.S., TX The Woodlands H.S., TX Vandegrift H.S., TX Winston Churchill H.S., TX and maybe Pflugerville and grab a spot from one of these guys? What do yall think? Yea i really think for like yall and McNeil and a few others it will come down to the performance. For Example last year CT Johnson was 7th in prelims and McNeil was 9th in prelims. Then in finals McNeil jumped to 7th and CT was 8th or 9th. SO it really did come down to the performance. SO it should be interesting to see how it all breaks down. cons1909 Posted October 3, 2011 Report Share Posted October 3, 2011 I was at BOA Arlington yesterday and LD Bell and James Bowie did a fabulous job! the difference between 1st and 2nd was just .05! They tied for GE. So how could you forget Bell ? I think if Bell could just step up the strength and play a bit LOUDER ,the show will be perfect! Hard music and hard drill for Bell. Cant say enough about Bowie, great great great and FAST! If they were going to BOA Houston they would DEFINITLY be a finalist if not top 3! thoughts? It'll be interesting to see them perform so close together in Prelims. Reagan has a pretty interesting show with some cool drill design. Someone is going to be left out of Finals on Saturday and the students from that program will probably be really pissed off. They did make the 08 GN finals and were a semi finalist last year at GN as well. This is definitely a great regional this year though with several worthy bands on the finals bubble. Austin, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, etc. There's been a lot of mixing up of the 3A season thus far. Legacy came out of nowhere to steal the 3A class and Pflugerville didn't even make finals. moose_eggs Posted October 9, 2011 Report Share Posted October 9, 2011 Wow! Marcus a full 1.5 points over Bell! That is HUGE! Not really. Bell beat Marcus by 2.8 points and swept all caption in prelims and finals at the Arlington Regional in 2010, which was the same weekend as the houston regional this weekend.
