chickora
I agree with that too... wow thats a BIG french horn section! We just have one in our band. 1? Wow, that's not a lot. I think we have umm, about 10 too..But girls and guys sort of balance out.
KatzsTheQuadPlayer
can't say i've ever fallen for another drumline chic... but i don't see there being anything wrong with it... if i were on snareline i wouldnt date a snare chic because if we broke up the line would be dirty the rest of the season... but either way i played quads this year and i don't see and chics on quads at westfield any time soon. DarkGuardNinja
great thing about being in guard, very few guys, and i don't think they are my type. Â i don't think i'd ever date someone in my section, and there has to be some sort of unwritten rule about this somewhere. maybe?
KatzsTheQuadPlayer
so on a different note... what are the usual combinations in everyone's band, since in-section dating is seemingly frowned upon?
Keyboard_Countessa
Anything goes, really. I've seen trombone/pit, drumline/sax, trumpet/oboe, tuba/trumpet, french horn/flute... Â We also have a *gasp* battery relationship. With 2 bass drummers, no less! But things seem to be going well... to be honest I'm not really an authority on this sort of thing, since I'm a bit "out of the loop" when it comes to band gossip. viccro
IMHO, it seems like w/in your band would be ideal, as these are the people that you know best...I know that during marching season, I really don't associate with those other...non-band...people! And in the section...why not?
Clarinot
Well what happens if you have an in-section breakup, especially during marching season? that could be uncomfortable...
TRtrumpet
VERY.
viccro
Well, any break up has the possibility of being uncomfortable-but being forced to see each other that much might force you to work more peacefully...in order to accomplish anything...theoretically of course, as high school is in no way logical... chickora
Well what happens if you have an in-section breakup, especially during marching season? that could be uncomfortable... That's why I say no in section dating, unless you are destined to be together.
viccro
"unless you are destined to be together." Â Â That seems rather difficult to do before dating someone-easier said than done...

TBchick07
Omg its not incest. high school is all of four years long. its not like it really matters. the only reason the people from actualgirltrombone school says its incest is because of two people that said it was incest because someone like someone in their section and they were in the same section and they were being jerks and now the rest of the section has picked up on it. And we all know that if they were in the flute section they would not say that its incest.
TBchick07
oh and i dissagree that and in section break up would be akward because if you date someone in your section you know them and unless your a big fat jerk its not that hard to break up with someone and it not be akward
coolest_kid_ever
Anything goes, really. I've seen trombone/pit, drumline/sax, trumpet/oboe, tuba/trumpet, french horn/flute... guilty as charged. Â Â Â ha.
