  1. Coppell Duncanville Berkner Rowlett Sachse North Mesquite Lake Highlands South Grand Prairie Midlothian Robert E. Lee In no particular order.
  2. Sorry if it seems awkward posting after a 10 month hiatus. I don't think DeSoto is no longer eligible for the state honor band process with their head director change.
  3. I understand what you are saying, but these are kids. What do you expect the reaction to be when a young adult wins something? I know if I was in their position, I would do the same thing because it is my first instinct. Maybe I am wrong, but as long as they didnt come off as arrogant (I didnt see it, who knows, I am sure they didnt), then thats ok.
  4. That would be your composite score.
  5. Interesting that you brought that up. When was the last time a "Show" band has made it to the state level?
  6. It did wonders to that Summit band program. Just compare the size of Summit in '06 (who was the 5A Area B alt.) to what it is now, they lost roughly more than half of that band to Legacy.
  7. A little birdie from the future told me that a band who has never been to state before will finish the the top 3, and it is not the band you are thinking of.
  8. More like they are doing better than the last set of directors they had. This year, they have really gave me some chills at some parts of the show. There are many hidden secrets within the Grand Prairie ISD fine arts that really keep SGP (and in fact GP) from going to the next level and unfortunately, its been going on for years.
