SGP is a really strong band this year and being able to compete with some good bands in mansfield and midlothian

I get what you're saying but SGP has been having a really good contest season so far...so don't doubt them.

It’s really hard to compare those early contest when most shows were not done.

I would be careful with low predictions on SGP, they placed 13th at Area last year, and this season they've consistently beat bands that placed above them last season. They beat Lake Ridge at Mansfield, and beat Mansfield at Midlothian. Whatever Mrs. Ross has been feeding those kids this season is crazy.

Well, I’m no Pete Delcus but he said 20% so 80% if nothing!

DMI is about to start.  A very light rain has stopped and the sun is peeking out. Looks like the weather might cooperate!

Well done, Meridian!

Some really nice brass moments and solid marching technique throughout the group.  Some significant intonation issues in the woodwinds but that is so easily exposed with such a small ensemble.  
 

Glad to see a 2A band come to DMI and perform so well!

We are doing DMI Prelims indoors as commentary-only due to the weather which is supposed to be clear long before Finals starts.

All bands will perform in Finals outside in the original prelims order starting at 6:30pm.

That is correct except Duncanville's exhibition is at 9:15.
