Duncanville (Does not feel right) 9. North Forney 10. JJ/Royce City Only hot take I see is Royse City battling JJP for last finals spot. Maybe I need to go look at them again. Quote

Duncanville and Heath could flip…they haven’t been side by side yet. Somewhere pride is going to kick in. They bring it for prelims and finals, they have the talent to surge! planetearf 1 Quote

I would be surprised with them making finals with that run. Everyone's feet was out of time and they never got above a MF at best. The trombone solo was the only thing I found even remotely musically interesting. I don't see them doing well at all this year at area. BandDad11 1 Quote
planetearf Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 do we have a rain date for this area due to the weather being quite similar to last years area 🥲? Quote
Popular Post JFNDOWBFAN Posted October 20, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 20, 2025 Stop! We don’t need this negativity in our lives. It’s going to be sunny and 72. Ifffffffd monsoon hits, Think it’s next Monday. They could have fit it in last year! planetearf, LockedIn and melloww 3 Quote

I wouldn't say rolled necessarily, but I do believe the main battle will be between Rockwall and Heath. With how clean Sachse has gotten, I can more confidently put them in 3rd. I'll admit that I don't know much about how Lake Highlands is doing (apart from what Salty said), but I'm fairly confident RH will place above LH. Quote

Im sure sorting out all the Ro schools took some time cause they start with the same letters over all look accurate to me. BandDad11 and MoBone 2 Quote

I personally see Lake highlands as a Band who depending on the run could be anywhere from 5th to 14th at area honestly it just depends on consistency at this point in the season, I haven't seen many shows outside of RISD (Richardson not Rockwall) and Forney so far but RISD as whole is doing great and honestly any of their bands have a shot at state if they do their best Saturday and leave it all on the field. Just try to remember band is supposed to be fun yall! Quote
LockedIn Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 My personal prediction: 1: Wax (unless there is a repeat of last year and a random band comes out of nowhere) 2/3: Forney/Rockwall it's either way with these 2 4: Sasche most likely but honestly a hot take but i could see any risd school getting this depending how they do, also Heath is another dark horse ------- State Cutoff 5/6: Lake Highlands/heath 7-9: Duncanville/Richardson/Berkner honestly any of these but I'm guessing Duncanville in 8th 10: Pearce or North Forney, haven't seen north forney yet so take w/ a grain of salt idk after that, all I know is Richardson placed above Birdville and Plano last weekend, wouldn't be too surprised if they're a dark horse too, lake highlands seems to be keeping up the pace too JFNDOWBFAN 1 Quote

Sachse seems to be the strongest competitor for 3rd, and Heath is going to have to put in some good work over the next few days to get their scores higher, but I could see them beating Rockwall for that 4th spot. They all have the potential but this year is so much more competitive then any other year I've seen. I think most of the schools in this area have extremely cool shows its just how well can they execute them. Clean=Win at the end of the day. Also I didn't know there was Berkner vs Lake Highlands beef. I would have assumed with the Berkner director moving to Pearce there would be more beef between the 2 of them. I think if any of the RISD schools had the shows from 2025 in the 2024 season we could see 1 or 2 of them making State but this year I don't see it. BandDad11 1 Quote

I see why they’ve been placing where they have. But they were very clean this weekend. I could be completely wrong, but after watching that performance, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re higher than what we’re thinking. planetearf, CosmicLimbo, JFNDOWBFAN and 1 other 4 Quote
