Tyler didn't even show up to area last year right? I thought I remember hearing something about them making area but not showing up. If that's true we have no idea where they might place.  UwU

I honestly see Sachse not making it tbh. I think top 3 for me def Waxa Forney and Rockwall, but I think 4th gonna be between them and D vile

i think theyre the only top 6 area c program with their whole show on the field, so yeah its gonna be pretty dirty

This is true….but im just not getting the same vibes, at least yet. I think the other 3 just have stronger shows as well. So yeah I still think it’s gonna be them and D-Ville fighting for 4th

i see them anywhere from 2-5 (more of 3-5).... but the music in their prelims run was GOOD, dont know what happened in the finals run.... my main concern is their visual... they were 2nd in music but i dont exactly know how bad the visuals were.... lots of visual cleaning (good thing their full show is set) if sachse wants a good result...

addition to this:
theres lots of things in the finals or state bubble that gets changed up due to this prelims order...

i now have north garland, NF and rowlett out of finals contention...

this also further pushes my belief for a 2-4 out of sachse since duncanville performs so late

Here is Forney's show this year. This was from yesterday at the HEB Marching Contest. Thye ended up getting 6th place.

actually... im not surprised if they win this area... THIS IS INSANE.

They aren't even using the whole band this year. This only their top 3 band classes out of the 4 we have. It's crazy not only are they still learning this show but they also have a JV show that they've learned that includes all of the band that they perform only during football games. Or at least they did for the first part of the season!

one note before i get off: i think sachse has the 4th/5th best show concept..... the execution honestly NEEDS to be there come area time or we might see the reigning area champion not even in state contention.

Any idea what happened to John Horn? In 2018 they were being paraded as the next big thing and as a contender for SMBC finals…and then past 2019 I stopped hearing about them altogether.

I didn’t realize they’d placed second to last this past year. Seems like a really long way to fall sadly.

They can make it if they don't get too comfortable with last year's placement and think they don't need to put in effort to go to state.

If I remember correctly their head director left after 2018 and it seems to have had a major impact

i have forney and wax at 1/2, sachse/rockwall/dville from 3-5, with lake highlands/heath being 6/7

Berkner at their comp made some big improvements from prelims to finals at their comp on Saturday. I believe they moved up 13 points in musicality and 15 points in visual excellence. They earned percussion cap in prelims and were 1 point off in finals. If they continue this trend things could look good for them. Maybe a placement or 2 away from state.

i could have Richardson up a bit this year, maybe around 6-8th  they haven't had their closer added yet but the rest of their show they've def upped vis achievement and percussion, which both seemed to be their downfalls last year
